ive never really been in to sports so didnt hear of this when it happened, only just researching this now. such a shame, i have so many questions i wish i could ask him. life ruined over bad sportsmanship, i hope in his mind he is at peace with whats happened

That was a poorly officiated and poorly medically attended fight. Prichard Colon took many more blows to the head after those illegal shots (including more illegal blows), and basically was given time to shake off a concussion to continue. An early DQ for the other guy if Colon couldn’t continue likely saves (a lot of) his life. Combat sports are a gamble. That Slap stuff is especially scary.
