Seems like their 4070 Super Dual Cards aren't half bad either? Apart from having less components installed (duh) they have only different caps from what I can see (TPU fotos). Cooling & noise seem okay but not spectacular as well. With current prices also the cheapest.

brother you are only guy on planet earth who could answer my query . should i buy the 4070 ti super gigabyte gaming oc or Windforce /Eagle OC.
I need a card which is compact and dual slot.
Rest msi and asus are expensive in india, they r priced in 4080 territory and i dont like inno 3d , zotacs , galax or colorful.
I am upgrading from Nvidia Rtx 3070 FE.
please suggest and tell me is there any difference between gigabyte model in terms of VRMs, mosfets and phase design.
Is Windforce /Eagle OC really inferior to Gaming OC model?.

@ActuallyHardcoreOverclocking or whoever has the Knowledge to Answer the Question: On the Palit Card (or any card in gerneral), is it Posible to just Change the Capasitor to a Higher grad one? Same Question for the Filtering on the Back of the PCB (SP Caps) So for instance change from 100 Microfarat to 270 Microfarat. What kind of SP Caps would be used for Filtering, can u just add 470 SP Caps to the Blank Pads?
I am no stranger to soldering, so the mecanical abilities are there. I just havend had any expierience with this kind of Modding.

I would be grateful for any info

The ASUS ROG STRIX 4070TI OC has an additional volt coltroller chip, for an external voltage regulator, and overall has a higher TDP limit. It would have been great to see that card reviewed, and show people one of the best 4070ti offerings.

It seems that Asus replaced the caps next to the external ports on the Strix from electrolytic (?) to some smd (ceramic?) ones. They have a picture of the inside on the official product page. Are those better or worse than the TUF?

I wish they used the dual 8pin on the back instead of the stupid 12pin on the side

I am only interested in the inno3d cards as those are the only ones so far that have a fullcover waterblock available for them from alphacool (alphacool says the WB fits the reference design PCB cards and also that currently it's only the cards from Inno3d so the others must have at least somewhat custom pcb)

I have Rx 570 itx pulse mini, it's powered by 6pin connector only and has 10A fuse to the connector. On the pcie slot it has 8A fuse. Power limit of the card is 120w, and can be changed via adrenaline or msi afterburner to +50% so 180w total. We all know that this is only the chip power and TBP will be like 30w more at least, so total 210w. Something doesn't add up. Giving the fact that pcie connector can only provide up to 75w, and the 6 pin connector is limited to 120w max by the fuse, total 75+120=195. How can the bios of the card permit something like that? shouldn't the fuse blow when using max power limit in something like furmark? well I've tried and it didn't. What do you think about that?

I heard Tuf memory cooling seems not as good as others because of heatsink contact not being optimal and coil whine being loud.

What about 4080? I want to buy 4080 Palit Gamerock because it's cheaper, but in your review of the Palit 4090 PCB you called it terrible. Is Palit's 4080 just as bad as the 4090?

With the size of the components and their placement, makes me wonder if this card could've been made shorter/more compact. Edit: Nevermind. I see that the Palit version is much shorter. If it were just about one more inch shorter..

I found some article on Google claiming NVIDIA told partners to ditch all blower cards so as not to eat into their data centre market. Which is funny as the FE cards are almost blowers, more heat seems to be focused out of the back than into the case, its why its such a nice design IMO.

I can confirm according to boardview files that FBVDD (memory rail) powers the memory controller on Nvidia, unlike AMD, and I consider that a design flaw that Nvidia is keeping it on purpose so that there is a higher chance your card will die and you will buy another one more frequently

I recently replaced a ram chip with ripped pads on a RTX 2080 TI, did upload a video on it too then you bring up the topic in your video, love coincidences!
I have seen professional repair people say that the cause might be flex, its almost always one or more of the 3 ram chips at the PCI-E slot nothing else.
In my case I was not sure if my removal of the chip ripped it or if it was the cause of the broken chip as suggested by YT Tech Cemetery for example.

I do wounder how the new RTX 4070TI and the NAVI3 like 7900XTX will hold up over time, if we will see a lot of them needing rebelling of ram or complete ram replacement at the PCI-E slot due to ripped pads on the ram.

To me it seems odd that you want to design t with the ram at the bottom, it seems less reliable, but I guess there is some design advantage or why would they do it?
I was thinking VRM gets closer first BUT most GPU's today has split VRM, coming from two sides and ram VRM split 3 ways even so makes even less sens then.

Anyways grate video as usual to keep my head busy!
