this is the worat fifa ive played awful. Far too many buttons to remeber and get used too for a causal player who hasnt got hours to put into the game. the throughballs and passing is a joke its just an awful game im trying to perservere withbit but ive almost had enough tbh

People will easily run past ur defenders if u just use cdm and not switching to ur cbs

This just does not work. I take kick off, pass it to my right wing, dribble forward, lose the ball, look at my back line:

Two CBs: one is behind the other.
RB: hugging my RW who just lost the ball.
LB. Standing off the pitch.
My back line looks like a ‘Z’

CDMs also don’t get back and want to play striker.

Everyone in my back line is on defend even fullbacks and my full midfield is on defend.

Tried everything and nothing works and I want to die.

This works only in multiplayer. It don't work with the legendary AI. It's so scripted.

The game automatically moves your defence out of position that game skill are to over powered

I just feel like my defence is so open and wide and not marking players even though there fullbacks defenders and I've got a CDM as a 5th whereas the players I'm playing against are so tight I can't break through in the box at all

Can anyone please tell me why both my CB leaves a huge open spot in the middle always? I have VVD and the other cb is the 89 female from Barca but they keep leaving a huge open spot in the middle for my opponent to just run through so easily. If anyone can help please let me know

I was div 2 90-5-20 💀 now I’m 93-6-31 in div 3. I’m tired and I already defend like this. This game is shit 💀 Other fifa playing perfect was difficult but this fifa you play perfect and you still lose.

Because literally every player I face has their back 4 always available to defend against me, but when they attack I’m so exposed..what’s the tactics for it?

I get the mechanics but something is off ... when your opponent is attacking slow till in front of your 16 mark .My defenders just hold back and don’t even stand close to their opponent,which is really annoying ...Because that’s the point where we need pressure but they just stand there no matter what I do. For example they go past the side line they do a skill move and they stop for support. Pass to the center and they are in front of my cb . But they don’t apply pressure at all and even keep distance which makes it easy to do another skill move ,pass and score. I'm currently in seasons 24-4-4 so that’s not to bad.. can anyone relate my frustration?

I still have one BIG problem: When I play against players like Saka or Doku, they just speed boost right past me and get to the edge of the goal line and then they pass to their striker who then scores. I have to focus on Saka so he can't score directly, so how can I deal with the incoming striker in that moment?

And: Basically every game there are multiple situations in which the ball is rolling right next to a player of mine, but the player just isn't try to get the ball... that happens in my offense as well as my defense... it's so annoying and I feel helpless... no idea what's going on there

Is it just me or nobody tracks back? The defenders and midfielders stay still and just watch the attackers score.. opposite team attacks and nobody is marking or defending. Is it an old gen problem?

I’m having a problem where my players are jogging instead of sprinting while defending. Any other mechanics are fine, it’s just that they can’t run while defending.

Is this game the same crap as last year where the community had to make custom sliders to make it a bit more playable instead of every match ending with at least 5 goals? Is this game giving you the same crap of your defenders dancing around attackers and losing the duels? Do midfielders always just stop tracking attackers around 40m from your goal so you never have midfield battles and always end up 1v1 on the defence? Are the goalkeepers still useless on the first post?
I refuse to play online if you have these issues offline and refuse to play the game if its sh*t.

Your "university" for this game doesn't change all those amateuristic issues eafc has.

When i have delay its almost impossible to win the ball back. How am i supposed to do it? 2nd man press is always a slight jog.
Im very good at reading the play but my players are never fast enough to get into position. Also the players don't lock on, so alot of the time I just run past the opponent.

My AI dont do anything if the balls near them they ignore it alot of the time they're not even looking in the correct direction.

This is golden. I was panic defense for two days pressing all kind of button without any success. After this video, I got so much better. Keeping a clean sheet for 3 games straight now.

This is not how the game plays though at all. Your players are all over the place no matter the formation or tactics and then you will get in position the opposition does a drag back and suddenly you move and they speed boost to the other side of the pitch and before you react it’s a goal

The game is broken but don’t worry a tutorial will help it get better… if it wants you to lose it will stop you from scoring and stop you from tackling

Idk what it is, maybe they increased the difficulty on offline but this doesn’t work whatsoever playing again legendary AI.

My left and right back are not defending, my center mids are not defending, cb’s don’t walk with the striker at crosses, keepers stays in his goal at crosses, keepers won’t stay when I move them at corners, nothing functions normal in this game. Everything with tactics.. sweeper keeper, backs on stay back defend, cm’s on holder defend, but AI is not doing shit for me

Anyone else struggling with old gen defending? No one tracks back, no matter what the player instructions and tactics

So basically two points to be noted :
1.Just use L2, R2 while defending, shouldn't start pressing L1
