I bought my anivirsary F-5 new unused from a estate sale through a broker in Japan ,, extremely worth the money
Ответитьam I the only one that caught the Epstein didn't kill himself inside the shutter??
ОтветитьLove the Epstein didn't kill himself 😂😂😂
ОтветитьThe shutter was telling you something... :D
ОтветитьI love my F5! I had the same issue with the shutter speed and aperture dials, the easiest fix is to spray lighter fluid into where the dials are and rotate them for a couple of minutes each. Helps with the oxidization of the solder points. Worked fine for my F5 and an older DSLR I have, no issues since! I can't comment on your autofocus issue though, as mine works perfectly and focuses faster than any of my modern digital gear.
Ответитьyou're probably right. Epstein didn't kill himself.
ОтветитьMy Nikon F5 has work perfect for more than a decade, never a problem. We have a happy, solid and lasting loving relation. Sorry for your loss.
ОтветитьStarting off with vertical shots of horizontal subjects, I don't understand why he can't shoot all of a house. He only gets the left half or the right half or the center half. Does he smoke those funny cigarettes, a lot? Ron W4BIN
ОтветитьCybernetic photon wrangler. Did you just inspire GxAce with that line?
ОтветитьLove your content bro! Oh, by the way Nick Cage called and he wants his younger face back.
ОтветитьI have never seen a faster focusing camera. I love mine.
ОтветитьI yearn for a F5
ОтветитьI have one I’d love to sell. It’s a beautiful camera I never use anymore.
ОтветитьI have an F100, 95% the same thing as a F5. Just throw on the grip and you essentially have an F5 😊
ОтветитьDid you mention the max sync speed ? 1/125 ? 1/250 ?
Ответитьits insane how cheap you can get a camera like this for. its literally a professional slab of beef for the price of a beginners digital camera
ОтветитьI just bought this camera and I can't stop shooting it. When I'm not shooting on it I just cradle it on my lap while I sit at my desk. It just has an "it" factor. And it doesn't just take all my modern lenses that were born long after it, but it usually autofocuses them faster than my D850. Speaking of the 850, I'm pair-bonded with that camera and so when I picked up this absolute prototype to the modern DSLR, it was a seamless transition. Everything is right where I expect it to be. Took me literally 5-10 minutes of examining the functions and I was off to the races.
ОтветитьEpstein didn't kill himself.
ОтветитьI just got an F4, and I like the F5, but something about the F4 makes me actually wanna take it and shoot, it feels inspiring in the hand, much more then my Z5 or any of my film cameras, and I have a Pentax 645
ОтветитьYeah ....your f5 is broken for sure mines a beast an the most dslr film camera ever. I love the weight the grip it just feels so good in the hand. Auto focus issues????? Huh
Ответитьi like how this cam can shoot at a higher FPS than my current digital fuji
ОтветитьNick Van Owen’s go-to camera.
ОтветитьI’m so excited for mine to arrive. Just ordered one in Mint condition from Japan. This video was full of great info and very helpful. Thanks a ton dude!
ОтветитьWas it the last 35mm camera you bought though?🤔
ОтветитьBro every single time I look up a camera review, you have already used it 😂 the absolute GOAT
ОтветитьHi. F5 shooter here. I'm super sorry to hear the F5 didn't work out for you as well as it has been for me! I would sell my soul to be able to go back and time and get one of these babies brand new out of the box, but I was able to find one that that has knock on wood not had any real issues to date. Either way, I hope that one day, you decide to give the F5 another chance, because it truly is a fantastic camera worthy of every bit of praise it's ever gotten! I get the hub-bub about it being heavy, though. My gym membership really comes in handy for that, but I definitely see how the weight may be a turn off for some! Either way, love your stuff, Jason, and hope you're having a good new year so far!
ОтветитьShooting film 8 fps is one way to burn a hole in your pocket
ОтветитьI still have this Camera, I bought it in 1999.
ОтветитьKdyž už děláš video o F5, očekával bych i záběry z temné komory jak fotografie vyvoláváš ❤️
Jaký používáš zvětšovák ?
Já používám náš československý Meopta.
Gold.
ОтветитьLate to the party on this one but glad to see my neighborhood looking so good in them tungsten hues. RIP to the Pizza Chief.
ОтветитьI bought an F3 several years ago on Ebay for £190. It had been described as "in good condition", but I had to leave feedback saying it was misdescribed - in reality it was mint! Built like a tank and I always describe it as a digital camera that just happens to use film.
Ответитьbro make ur pfp the portrait again it looked goood
ОтветитьThrow everyone for a loop and buy a minolta A7 and maybe run SSM lenses on it, crazy spec sheet and it runs like a tank. Love mine
ОтветитьI wonder if my autofocus digital lenses would work on that? I have a tamron 70-200mm 2.8
ОтветитьFuck... I think that is Zeiss IKON....
ОтветитьDon't let the "bullshit menu" turn you off, this guy is a baby lol
ОтветитьNikon F5 as a first Nikon camera purchase in 2024 ?! Let me know !!!
ОтветитьJust got mine today, and putting it up for a test. 1st error underexposed a few first shots as iso display's 4th digit is busted setting the iso to 4000 instead of 400. 😅😅😅
ОтветитьFyi the 3D colour matrix metering on this is the forerunner of the "std" metering in the mirrorless line up if you don't select Spot or centre weighted type; how it works from my understanding is it uses ALL pixel data unabridged, to determine correct exposure, as opposed to centre weighted which uses a zone in the centre, ~12-15% if my memory serves [compared to the 5-8% the spot meter uses], this matrix uses the whole array! {means a white brides dress, or a black grooms' tuxedo won't fool the meter, as it measures everywhere}. This tech also allows things like Phase detect af, as it uses the sensor to do the heavy lifting (not a single one (like slr's in the past did, through a transparent swatch on the mirror)), it also saves space inside, as the one sensor does it all, and no need for a separate chip just for AF detection.
Ответитьif you want weight try putting the motor drive on you F2 that has 10 AA batteries in the bottom
ОтветитьHopefully you purchased another one.
Ответитьrewatching this back. mirror lockup hidden message was great.
