Honestly, people suck.

Problem is, catching a lie is easy enough.. finding out what is really going on instead is more difficult. Particularly not fond of filling the gaps myself. Any ideas?

I think some people have lied to themselves so much they don't know how warped their soul really is.

My mother is a pathological liar. She has a good heart, but she cant help it. She has to always change the versions of anything she says. Adding or exaggerating details that werent there or even come up with something as she talks to save her arse. Consequences: first, i doubt anything she says. I cannot just listen to her without thinking that what she is saying is false. So we argue all the time because i contradict whatever she says by asking questions to dismantle her narrative. It drives her mad, because she isnt smart enough to bounce back, but i just cant sit and pretend.
Other consequence is that i have zero tolerance for liars in general -not only her. If i ask you a question and you lie, you are wasting my time and breaking my trust and i'll resent you for that. Honesty, with tact, over lies, even white lies. But people will say that they hate hypocrites but still prefer lying over saying the truth just to be appreciated. It is despicable.

Jordan, I have heard you’re kind of high on your own supply. They say it’s kind of bad. How big an influence do you think you are? And, how brilliant? What do you ascribe your brilliance to? The way you craft your thoughts? I myself am trying extra hard to put my skills where they’re useful. I guess, showing people the hand of God at the moment.

Right lies of any kind are bad to tell

I have grandkids that are consistently lying on almost every subject. I call them out on it & implement consequences however it hasn’t stopped.

They go to church to learn right from wrong but seem to not care either.

They cry when punished but that’s them feeling sorry for themselves. They are void of feeling guilt for what they have done, disrespecting & disobeying their single dad or me.

How do you get thru to kids on the cusp of puberty. Things will get far worse if I can’t nip this now.

Being lied to by a a friend of over 10 years brought me such pain. To were i dont think i can trust anyone

One of my close friends lied about having a girlfriend for 2 years. My friend texted his supposed girlfriend and she didn’t even know who he is.

It’s just not worth the web that you get caught in lying causes a kind of hell for you and for everyone else. That’s why it’s such a serious sin.

My boyfriend is a compulsive liar, and even made up his boss's race n age. I found out at first he said "what does it matter"? "Why you so jealous"? Now i dont trust him at all. He lied in the beginning about having no kids. I found out he has 3.."its my past, none of my business" he seems to think lying is okay, unlike me who values honesty. He did apologize but then will lie again. Y lie in the first place? Exhausting!

He says “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life” and the security I get by trying to emulate Him, knowing I won’t be able to but trying to anyways out of my love and appreciation and respect for Him, it matches nothing. Having prayer time with a pure belief that Jesus Christ is listening to my prayer and bringing it to the Father, because I won’t ever be enough alone. I and my Father are one. Such comfort knowing I can have a relationship with Truth

I always wonder why such people don’t get into politics.
I am not a fan of him, but I definitely respect the rationality of his thoughts and I really would want to see him as a person who really has influence to change something in politics.
But for some reason not only him, but many people like him just don’t get there. Why?

Garbage in...Garbage out. By the way, wrote this prior to listening to entire clip...wow! Got here before "G in, G out". Just admitted my alcoholism to my wife, before...was lies/justification. Did'nt go to pro's, just realized my lies!. Now, after listening to this, had really bad night...woke up & booom, felt great. Hmmmm, what just happened?...no lie!

I had a relationship with an abusive borderline and she lied SO frequently that I'm pretty sure it ruined her ability to accurately determine the truth
