Oh that bell is so beautiful sounding. Interesting that they're set slow from the factory now (just like the E-bells); it makes the bell sound more like a drawbridge. Very cool!
ОтветитьI wonder why the tag on the door has a date of 6-13-2003 if it was made recently?
ОтветитьDid you buy it directly from Western Cullen Hayes?
Ответитьhow much did it cost you
ОтветитьWe’re did you get it from
ОтветитьThe got slowed down to the speed of a general signals type 2
ОтветитьAren't railroad mechanical bells out of date because mechanical bells were made in the late 1920s
Ответитьhow did you get the bell from wc hayes directly?
ОтветитьThe quality of these bells has gone down the drain. Lots of plastic, the contacts are apparently bent by the factory, and the cheaply made hammer tends to get bent backwards by the force of gong strikes. No wonder GS is the leading brand of bells nowadays. They have bells from the early 90s still in service.
ОтветитьHad no clue they still made mechanical bells
ОтветитьNice video, and nice bell :) it sounds really good. I love how the packaging made it look mummified lol.
ОтветитьVery Nice
ОтветитьCool bell! I see the factory settings are slower for the M bells now too, just like WCH did with their Type 4.
ОтветитьMechanical bells are awesome!
ОтветитьAwesome bell and video! What would be the website to get one? I’ve always wanted a mechanical bell after getting their electronic bell.
ОтветитьWhat was your power source? What kind of voltage does this bell take?
Ответитьwhere do you buy these?
Ответитьniceee
ОтветитьVery nice video Michael
ОтветитьHow long did it take for the package to arrive because of lockdowns?
ОтветитьSounds like a steel gong to boot.
ОтветитьWait water Cullen Hayes mechanical bells are still being made? How did you get it from the website?
ОтветитьGood score Michael. Sounds very healthy as well. :) I'll have to save up and order one from WC Hayes myself too. I sure hope ARTC one day will order new M-bells to replace any dying E-bells in the future.
ОтветитьAwesome Bell and Video! It sounds great! I’m glad that WCH mechanical bells are still being made, rather than the horrible Siemens E-Bells.
ОтветитьI dub this the WCH 3rd Generation
ОтветитьHi! Nice bell. You're very knowledgeable when it comes to railways, do you know if there are any working semaphore signals on the mainlines, other than the ones at Bomaderry?
Another question (sorry), do you know why the teardrop bell (my favorite one) was slowed down at Benalla? If you look at your videos, and then compare them to recent ones, such as Jaspers Transport Videos, it seems to have been slowed down.
Thanks!
Nice.
V/Line should probably buy WCH’s mechanical bells and electronic bells sometime soon, but I don’t think it would happen ‘cause they love Siemens / Safetran type 3 E bells rather than WCH.
But to my opinion, they can’t keep buying Safetran Type 3 E bells forever. But anyways… 🤷🏻♂️
New logo still looks like the old logo I guest
ОтветитьAwesome Video! Bells looks great and sounds amazing! I own a US&S 1st Gen Teardrop as well
ОтветитьVery cool bell! Great video as well
ОтветитьGreat bell and video
