Computer Beach Party was actually pretty forward thinking, because a lot of the stuff they use a computer for would be plausible today. It's 100% possible to reserve venues, hire bands, invite people to parties etc. via computer. In fact it's now difficult to do so by non-electronic means. And it's not uncommon to see folks at car events that use laptops attached to the car's CAN bus to control things like ignition timing and fuel injection to increase performance. It absolutely wouldn't have worked in the CGA era. The systems you'd interface with just didn't exist in the 80's.
Ответить"Depiction of rape on the cover"... Rich Evans is disappoint
ОтветитьAlthough the movies are truly awful on this one, this ep is special because it was during the height of covid and it really felt like they were trapped in there with bad movies.
Ответитьwho having the Laphroig 10 and Glenlivet 15 for lunch???? More classy than I would have expected from screen legend Rich Evans
ОтветитьHere's what I believe the entirety of the military industrial complex knew what they were doing and they were all just trying to get people to invest in war bonds they had overseas for a long time and they wanted a new Pearl harbor and so they decided to trade with a series of overseas countries with organization of war efforts that they would then be obliged to. Have you ever played the game killer 7 it will teach you more about the electoral college and how it's all been manipulated in the system of systematic government and education systems and terrorist organizations and arts for manipulations anyway it's all about personal influence and that is what is the most important about this story. Pokemon knew about 9/11 how old is a big red bird and there's two towers and you eukatreak City one is burned down and the other is called the burn Tower and also they have a big terrorist organization called team rocket that goes around and manipulates the entirety of the infrastructure and business planes and radio communications and it was released in the year of 2000 so they try to get people to get away from those towers using the messages of the video games.😢
ОтветитьThis is my 5th time watching this...
Ответить"download more dodge RAM"......well played sir
ОтветитьWhich of the Red Letter Mediarists do you think has the largest surface area including their clothes? Long-hair Jay doesn't count, that's not fair.
ОтветитьI must say, Rich's obsession with finding a cover that depicts rape in this episode is very concerning. Where is this bizarre behavior coming from?
Ответить"why is there a dog eating pizza"
ОтветитьThese two VCR technicians and their sole customer should have just repaired the Her Name is Cat tape to review it. Maybe they will do that in the next Half in the Bag episode...
ОтветитьYou shouldn't be inhaling fumes from melting plastic. It's bad for your health. :P
ОтветитьOddly enough, computers DO unlock more speed in some cars... if you pay a monthly subscription. This movie was prophetic.
ОтветитьThe unsuccessful karate school movie guys must have been so mad when 'Karate Kid' came out and became a hit. And then even more upset when they failed to profit from its runoff popularity afterward.
Ответитьhow many of these VHS tapes dont work due to being thrown by Mike while hunting for movies?
ОтветитьThat toaster oven is better than mine... Good work?
ОтветитьRich looked so "young" here. What 3 years and a couple of jabs does to a tumbs festival.
Ответить“Indian Burt Reynolds, is a huge factor”
ОтветитьOk no offense but this episode is goated
ОтветитьI know what Desmond there is doing. He folded the easy ones a certain way and he's selecting them. There needs to be an impartial third party assembling the bucket. Not that they did this again.
ОтветитьKids, don't melt plastic without proper ventilation, and never in a vessel that will later be used to prepare food.
Ответить'I'd buy THAT for a dollar!" 👍 "I *did*." 😶: There is SO much going on, in this simple exchange--
Ответить"How does that make any logical sense?
Why is there a dog eating pizza??"
-Rich Evans
"I think I just need to look for rape?"
- Rich Evans
My pelosphegator was nothing but pleased by Rich tonight! Also, wtf did you watch?
ОтветитьI really appreciate how much stress you put into these games that none of us give a damned about.
Ответитьthey about to feed that dog froot loops
ОтветитьRich Evans sacrificed 30 years off his life for that 5 minute ending bit
ОтветитьTheir riff on Computer Beach Party is one my favorites of the whole series. They really go through all the emotions with such dullness, all while watching a nonsensical mediocre movie.
ОтветитьComputer Beach Party is an early use of zen filmmaking
ОтветитьUNDER the Boardwalk
ОтветитьI like how when Mike is describing what makes a cover a painted artwork he says it isn’t a photoshop job, and then he ends up picking a cover that is clearly made using photoshop
ОтветитьRich's ferst criteria gives the impression the game is rigged. If such were true, Mr. Stoklasa would have had to search for a cover containing def. gays.
Ответить"i'm trading in rape" me at the business meeting
ОтветитьMy brain keeps making the assumption that Rich is so much shorter than Mike but then they stand next to each other and they are almost them same height
ОтветитьIt's not that you can't make 90 minutes of talking heads interesting, it just requires really tight writing and a bunch of people who are fun to listen talk.
ОтветитьRewatching this in 2024 is a stark reminder of the fragility of human hair 😢
ОтветитьMy favorite new RLM definition: model = photography actress
ОтветитьThat no touch knockout part they talked about is pretty ineffective if all you have to do to be immune to it is to not believe
Ответить"Elderly fetish?!?" Mike laughed, desperately hoping Jay didn't notice him sweating profusely
Ответить*Broil *
ОтветитьAnybody else see Ben stiller with a bald cap doing a karate skit when the guy in black is kicking and talking on the phone?
ОтветитьStill waiting on that Chihuahua the Movie Re:View.
ОтветитьRich and Mike together are national treasures. The opening sequence here is a MASTERWORK.
We need to bronze these two!
