Attention k mart shoppers
ОтветитьNot really that into the film so the new one isnt something i really care for and tbh i just think its a glory chase
ОтветитьI love how the movie took from the animated show and the musical!!!
ОтветитьThanks for the review Chris. I’m seeing this on Thursday night. Grew up watching the original Beetlejuice. So I’m excited for this one.
ОтветитьHow r u able to see the movie so early?
ОтветитьI love Beetlejuice but I hate like 95% of these legacy sequels that are just leeching off nostalgia. Not sure if I'm going to spend money on it in theaters.
ОтветитьTim Burton being asked about Jeffery Jones, 😳
ОтветитьThere's absolutely no way they don't make Beetlejuice Bettlejuice Beetlejuice after this, Burton/Keaton or otherwise. You just don't give the movie this title without those plans in place.
ОтветитьReally wish they’d done something completely different like Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian and married that creepy German expressionism with a ‘Surf’s Up Big Kahuna!’ Hawaiian milieu. A Beetlejuice sequel needed a completely different tone to distinguish itself.
ОтветитьJenna is my cousin....just kidding
ОтветитьLOVE that into bruv!!
ОтветитьBeetlejuice, or seeing random images from Beetlejuice, is my first memory. I was 2 years old and my parents went to see it at the drive in with me in the back seat. So I'm right there with ya.
ОтветитьJENNA SIT ON MY FACE
ОтветитьMonica Bellucci + Latex dress = PERFECTION
ОтветитьI just found your channel, really like your review! Wish you the best, greatings from México!
Ответитьif he wasnt intending on making a third one he would've call this one Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
Ответитьsame sentiments ... just watched it
ОтветитьBeetlejuice without Barbra, Adam and Otho.....and leaning into a romance that was only in the cartoon and not the original movie....eh pass for me
ОтветитьThe movie was fun but Keaton is lacking energy. He seemed off to me. BJ's reintroduction was underwhelming. Showing his job and stuff should have been left after Lydia calls on him. Jefferey Jones is in it way more than anyone would expect. Lydia is less like Lydia and more like Darlene from the Conners. Catherine O'hara is the scene stealer in this one.
ОтветитьI seen the original in the theatres as a kid. I was the perfect age to see that movie when it came out. I’m beyond excited to go see this new one as a grown up but I’m scared it is going to let me down. I hope not.
ОтветитьMichael Keaton himself said it's better than the original and even though it hasn't been released yet i trust his judgment plus apparently the Beetlejuice character has a bigger appearance
ОтветитьNice review, man! I can't wait to watch this sequel! Cheers!
ОтветитьI subscribed because of this video ❤
ОтветитьI agree with Chris' assessment having seen the film yesterday. Lots of moving parts, not all of which get enough attention, and an occasionally convoluted plot but thre performances were amazing, the effects were fun, the costume designs by Colleen Atwood were immaculate and it was an overall really entertaining return to the Beetlwjuice universe. I felt Beetlejuice himself was utilised a lot better in this one than the original as he had more to do than taunting Adam and Barbara from the model. As musical set-pieces go, MacArthur Park is no Banana Boat Song, but it was pretty epic. My feeling is they've left it open for a third film but if it doesn’t happen this and the original make for a delightful pair.
ОтветитьI went in really excited and I came away really disappointed in this movie. It was bad and dumb in ways that made me really angry. I know it’s not that deep but it’s failures were so obvious to me and there were so many missed opportunities and bad choices all around.
ОтветитьI'm watching this tomorrow. I cannot wait!
ОтветитьWhere was a sequel set up?
ОтветитьI liked the movie, though in my shortest summation I felt "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" was Busy busy busy. Like you said, the pacing, but again I have ADD so, I can catch up pretty easily.
ОтветитьI wish they would've focused on when Delores puts herself back together she wouldve have more parts that were rotted and more greens and blues. Also, one thing i was hoping for was a nod to the ring finger from BeetleJuice when he says to Lydia, She meant nothing to me darlin'. I was hoping that Delores had like, phantom limb and the finger the ring was still in beetlejuice's coat pocket. She wanted Lydias finger to replace her missing finger. I dunno why i thought of Corpe's Bride when they were gonna do BeetleJuice's backstoey on how he met Delores. It was also weird she just appeared out of no where. I think my favorite gag waa when Bj said lets spill our guts.
ОтветитьI absolutely loved BJ Bob 🤣 had me cracking up
ОтветитьI enjoyed it overall, The first hour was a bit of a slog to bet through all the build up with the ex wife was not worth the pay off at all, A film of 2 half's for sure 3rd act was great
ОтветитьI saw the original in the theater as an eighth grader in '88, so watching Beetlejuice Beetlejuice over the weekend as a now-50-year-old man was such a nostalgia trip! While I agree with some of the nitpicks that some people are bringing up (too many subplots, several wasted characters, not enough Danny Elfman score), I still absolutely loved the movie. Tim Burton has been one of my favorite directors since childhood, so it was great to see him return to that Tim Burton wackiness and weirdness that I know and love. I do hope there's another sequel (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, perhaps?).
ОтветитьRip bob
ОтветитьIf you've never seen Orange County, fix that! Catherine O'Hara is awesome in it. The rest of the cast is great too - Jack Black, Colin Hanks, John Lithgow, Harold Ramis, Kevin Kline, etc.
ОтветитьI was so damn surprised at how fresh this sequel was. It felt like an authentic effort from Burton and it was a lot of fun.
Ответитьbob shouldn't of died
ОтветитьDisappointed it lacked the magic of the original.
ОтветитьI guess I'm in the minority here, and I know no one gives a fuck, but I didn't like it at all. I loved B1. This was so contrived, too fast with too much going on, so the story suffered in my opinion.
ОтветитьTotally agree with your take. I was REALLY happy with it. I laughed a lot. The first one was my favorite move EVER... and this one is a worthy return. Tim Burton achieved what I was sure was impossible.
