On this piece you didn't have to seal with clear wax?
I don't know the link for pay $1 to watch the competition, could you please put on the next video to be easier to a old lady in here? Thank you and God bless you work with you husband
What a fun project!!! We have a 2 year old son. It's so fantastic to get to do projects like these. ❤ I'm sure she is going to love it.
ОтветитьLove that pink!!!..I can see it in a bougie bedroom with a crystal chandelier and elegant drapes..with a mirror on the front of the drawer(grown up)❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьCool! I have a piece from that collection I need to rehab.
ОтветитьOh oh black wax mixed with that pink would be right up my alley❤thanks for the inspiration lady!❤
ОтветитьYou've inspired me and I've started my own flipping journey a couple weeks ago! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! ❤️
Can you please do a video on how to take care of the INSIDE of drawers? I haven't found much content on that anywhere (other than using furniture balm) and I'd love to know your thoughts on things to look out for - what levels of wear are repairable and how to take care of it, etc. Thank you!
Hi Lauren! No matter how many videos I watch, I always learn something new. Hoping I get the chance to meet you and Neiman when I am one of the chosen!! LOL!! I had the same type of furniture when I was little--white with the gold trim. Brings back memories. Take care and I will keep watching and learning!
ОтветитьYou’re such a great teacher!❤
ОтветитьSuch a cute little piece for a little girl! Thank you for all of your videos as I have learned so much and you have given me confidence to start - I’m in my 60’s btw!
ОтветитьPlease could you answer my question about paint color i need to get it ordered
ОтветитьWhat is the best varnish or stain stripper in your experience? Asking for my 75 year old aunt. She just ask in our family group text for us to recommend a stripper. 😳 I had to read the whole text to know that she didn’t want a real live stripper. 😂
ОтветитьNever a good idea to call learners “dummies” yes I realise it’s in reference to the books. But guys don’t be negative you can do better.
Having said that love your channel.
...Another great piece by you, Lauren. I just have a curiosity question. Why didn't you scuff sand between coats like you usually do? Is it because of the type of paint that you used? Just wondering for learning purposes. Thanks. :D
ОтветитьGreat piece! I have a single night stand a little squattier than this one, and wanted to jazz it up a bit. It hasn't sold in the original color (yellowish). I'll be going out shopping for Silk paint tomorrow! Thank you!
Ответить😊
ОтветитьLooking forward to your next flip
ОтветитьGreat tips! Thanks for sharing this! 💯 ❣️
ОтветитьDo you think to add paint you could use a paint roller for painting and then go back over it in more detail with a brush? I'm trying to get started.
ОтветитьIs the Bath and Body Works promo a thing or a mistake? Jajaja now I want a candle 😂
ОтветитьWhite in the creases would have looked nice too.
ОтветитьFYI. I received about 50 emails in a row from Pateron stating your competition is starting🤯🤯🤯
ОтветитьHaha yes! Clutzes unite! I very much appreciate you showing "oops" moments ❤
ОтветитьWhy is your simple green, not green 🤔
ОтветитьTurned out pretty you could have put a little shelf down on the bottom that way perhaps she could have put a faux plant down there or some books I'm sure you could probably still add just a little shelf just made out of plywood and paint it
ОтветитьFyi, love your flipping tips, now i have for you; take a flat head screw driver and poke holes at the lid of your paint cans. You'll avoid paint drips down the can, I put holes all around my lids, the paint drips back into the can. Ive learned a lot from you. Thanks so much.❤
ОтветитьNo way.Would I pay your price for that table.$25 the most
ОтветитьThis is a great review for all of us in the flipping world. Thanks
Ответить"promo sm" 🤣
ОтветитьNice videos, can you use a delta sander or must it be an orbital sander thanks, big love from uk
ОтветитьDo you have hints on how to find local flippers? I'm in Indianapolis. My daughter has a low dresser and a tall dresser that are solid wood, and they deserve to be restored. Neither one of us has the time now so we're looking for a local flipper.
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. I’m a reasonable wood worker but struggle with the design and market aspects. Looking forward to learning more from you and seeing what will translate here, across the pond.
ОтветитьGreat video very detailed walk us through it. Thanks
ОтветитьIf my piece is really shiny what grit of sandpaper should I use?
ОтветитьTo not calculate in the time spent working on a piece of furniture in order to sell it shows a shameful lack of basic accounting skills. Even one hour spent in total ox worth at least $15 to $20 in opportunity costs. I would expect better than that by the two of you.
ОтветитьOut of curiosity, is there a reason you used a brush instead of a small roller? Thank you for this video btw, I’m trying to start flipping furniture and this makes it seem a lot less overwhelming!
ОтветитьYou are awesome! Thank you!
ОтветитьDefinitely do NOT brush paint on like that
Ответитьwhat is the best cleaner to use to clean before you start sanding
ОтветитьThanks so much for this very helpful video. I'm the family catch-all for unwanted furniture. I love my Mom dearly but her taste ran to French provincial, so that's what I grew up with. And I can't stand it. So I've got these two matching end tables and as curvy ornate as they are, I'm hoping the right paint job might make them more appealing to me. The hardware is very ornate as well, but it's good quality and I hate to toss it. I'm thinking of going with a mid range sort of grayish blue for the table and I'd like to paint the hardware maybe a pewter color? Can you recommend a good paint for transforming metal drawer hardware? Thanks again, appreciate it!
ОтветитьHi Lauren, I LOVE your videos, since I found you, I have fully renovated my kitchen, walls, cabinets drawers, hardware etc. I wondr is there a place you answer questions? In an effort to finish my kitchen and after seeing my accomplishment, I've decided to re-apint a hutch in the kitchen that is currently painted an olive green, I thought about sanding and repainting without stripping it looks like only two colors before this and is not an antique so it's super smooth, just wondering, do you always have to completely strip furniture that is already painted? I will be going to the site to learn, buy guides etc. but wasn't sure where to ask. Thanks for all you share and your details, honesty etc!
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьWhy did you use a brush? Seems like it would take more time than a paint sprayer.
ОтветитьNot a fan of the pink, prefer the rich colors you usually use.
ОтветитьI understand it came with another piece of furniture. But for $30, you add in let’s say 3 hrs minimum work with sanding and painting at a low rate of $20 per hour and your at $60 of hourly, paint cost and initial buy cost of $30. Total profit of $10.
I get it’s a learning video tool as well. But the cost shouldn’t come down because you gained two pieces for the price of one. You gotta raise your margins and make less friends. Business is still business and if I did this all day I would make $30 a day.
I’m sure you’re making money somewhere but it was lost here if you ask me. People don’t understand time and effort and don’t understand cost of sandpaper or machines especially since sometimes machines break.
I've painted a couple of night stands like this the first was painted black so I used Krylon spray chalk paint in a turquoise blue color. I only used one coat plus the sealer. That was 4 years ago and still looks good and I used a gold trim.
ОтветитьWhat is the material of this nightstand? It doesn’t look like wood, it looks like a finish on it with the white and gold. I’m wondering what makes you decide to sand all the way to the bare wood versus this where you just scuffed it? Aside from the end result look you’re going for, is the base material your deciding factor? I hope these questions make sense! Love this completed look of this nightstand!
ОтветитьHelp! For those of you who are much more experienced. Sanding down the vaneer kitchen table and the water stain spots and rings are still Showing . Options ?? What can I do? I’m afraid if I stain it will just accentuate this more.
ОтветитьThank you for this!! I am thinking about getting into this and watching your video was very helpful!
ОтветитьAdorable ❤
