She is adorable -- love her. I do wish the stylist had done something to shape the hair in a way that brings out her beautiful face shape. This hair style did not do that, and she should have done more to discuss those options.

She looks devastated at the end. I think I would too, tbh. She’s very pretty but the styling is clearly not suited to her or her aesthetic. I’m sure the cut was well done but it doesn’t seem like what she wanted.

She actually looks the best with her hair wet and straight while cutting, the combo with the big hair and big glasses doesn't quite suit her, a hairstyle that brings out less volume would have helped her face.

Had layered V cut. I wanted to grow out my layers but keep the V cut and just get rid of the dead ends. She took all my layers and the v cut out. I added my own bangs to hide where my hair is growing back from damage. I will go back for the V cut once my hair gets a little longer…..but I was so upset she cut the V out. Guess I didn’t explain it right like this lady did❤

It looks really bad.
Yes my hair is not an aesthetic anyone wants or is asking for before anyone says anything about my hair. It’s obviously not ideal or professionally done.
I’m just saying the after looks far worse than the before.
If you want to grow your hair out, let it grow and worry about the dead ends and the bad layers later.
There are far too many myths about needing to cut your hair to make it grow and they are all false. It is completely untrue that you need to trim or cut your hair to make it grow. That’s not how hair works.
If you have short to medium layered hair and you want it to grow, DO NOT CUT IT.
Try to heat style as little as possible and definitely don’t bleach your hair out.
There are things you can do to make your split ends and bad layers look better while you’re growing your hair out, but growing your hair out should NEVER involve trimming or cutting it and if anyone tells you otherwise they’re believing decades old myths.
The girl’s hair looked better before. The after cut is like some weird thing I can’t describe. Not sure why this was posted.

I went a stylist and as I was telling her what I wanted she pulled all my hair back and cut it at the nape of my neck telling me short girls should not have long hair. My hair was down to my lower back. I told her I wanted to keep my length before we began. Need less to say, I have never went back to a stylist. I would love a stylist like her in my town. The cut and style on this lady looks fabulous, fun and she looks younger!

You could dress a little better.

She looks adorable!! I have the same issue, had long hair that I chopped off and want to grow back. Whenever I ask for layers, I’m always given short chunky layers when I just want face framing! The communication on both ends is so refreshing!

I have a stylist. I said I want/need bangs have had them for years but each stylist does them differently and have screwed them up majorly. I told her idk what I want just full bangs. And let me tell you she knew based off that. She said “Girl I went with your style and I could see where you were going with the bangs.” I keep going back to her for a reason. She also helps me learn the words for what I need with my hair

I had an amazing experience like this yesterday. My hair stylist got the type of brown I wanted exactly right and also made sure the bangs I wanted would be shaped around when I wear my glasses instead of without since I wear them all the time

“My hair is not the same texture” god bless her for acknowledging it and working with what she’s got. I can’t tell you how many fine haired white guys come in to the barbershop with a reference photo of a beautiful middle eastern curly man and don’t understand why they can’t do that

This is such a good reminder of why actual consultation with your client, and listening to your client, is so important. Fabulous job, and she looked so happy at the end.
