Gorgeous quilt
ОтветитьLove it so beautiful , good idea to use the scraps and it is very effective
ОтветитьDo you leave the back as is like a rag quilt?
ОтветитьYou have a soothing voice, I can watch your videos for hours.
ОтветитьI have a big stash of fabric and I want to use all of it before I can’t sew anymore. By watching this video, I know now how to use the fabric.
ОтветитьJust found you !!! We’re soul mates !!!!! I also love crumbs !!!!! BUT I mix all my colors together !!! Thank you for sharing and caring !!!!! 🙏👍🏿❤️👊🙌🏼😇⭕️❌😍🎈😘💕🤎🙏😇😇🙏🙏
ОтветитьOhh I love these beautiful quilts.
ОтветитьWhat is on the back of each block?
ОтветитьI am loving all your wonderful ideas. I have now been quilting over20 years, and there is always a new adventure to explore. 16/8/24.
ОтветитьSuper work😊
Ответитьi label the top row too, it works so well! I usually have to sew in bits of time, this keeps me organized for the next strp.
I also have collected old sheets, I use them as stabilizing foundation…we were emptying out my parents house because they downsized….my sisters saw just old sheets….i saw precious quilting material ! 😂
i love organized scrappy…i made a quilt with 2” squares of different plaid fabric…collected over years, but each block was framed with the same color, which organized the scrappy look….i like how you have one strip the same in the middle of each square, which when brought together makes a pattern…will start this same project soon.
my goal is to make some baby quilts for inventory, if i’m not alive there will be quilts for future great grandchildren….this would be a quick but beautiful way to achieve this…been trying to decide what pattern to do.
thank you !
i quilted each row and attach all quilted rows with sashing…i put the batting in those strips, this works best for me rather than trying to stitch the whole quilt…and it seems expensive to send out to be quilted.
ОтветитьMe gusta mucho, escribo desde España ( A Coruña) Gracias por enseñar estas cosas tan bonitas💝
ОтветитьHow did you put the backing fabric on?
ОтветитьI love this quilt! I appreciate your calm and warm instructions. I am just starting quilting at the age of 65 and scared to death of messing up. Thank you for inspiring me to start! ❤
ОтветитьI have never seen a string quilt I liked as well as this! It really looks nice!
ОтветитьI like the pace of your videos. You must have produced other content elsewhere because your videos are the best. I find myself watching them more than once. Thank you for sharing! 😃🌿💐 Oh, and fantastic quilts.
ОтветитьBORDER ?? With the foundation still attached to the blocks does it make the center of the top thicker with a single layer border? How does that affect the final sandwich and quilt? (I skimmed through the comments and didn't find an answer.)
ОтветитьHow is the back finished?
ОтветитьI’m confused the borders has no batting so it’s going to be thin when add backing ?
ОтветитьBellísimo un encanto 🎉 maestra genia gracias por compartir 😘 saludos desde 🇦🇷
ОтветитьIt’s beautiful quilt ❤️
ОтветитьDo u always use 100% cotton cuz some of my fabric was given to me so i don't know for sure
ОтветитьDid I miss how you covered the seams in the back ?
ОтветитьI'm a beginner quilter and truly love this video. You made it look so easy that I had to try it. Thank you
ОтветитьYour strings are beautiful! Love that black & white! ❤ You definitely have an eye for color! Very nice work!
ОтветитьDo you always use flannel for the foundation or could you use a muslin
ОтветитьI never ever have to think again! 😂 i love that saying.
ОтветитьHow do you make quilts for couples? Mix of boy and girl patches or everything but?
ОтветитьHello sweet quilter friend! You may want to change the thumbnail to String Block TOP ONLY! I see from the comments below, that viewers are confused as to the 'rest of the process!'... for those of us who have been quilting for 25 years, we just assume...batting, backing, binding...etc.!
ОтветитьI just love watching your videos! Your personality always makes me feel happy and energized, and I need that desperately in my life as I am a caregiver for my Mom. I won’t bore you with the details but I need a little boosting up most days, and you always do that for me! Thank you.♥️👍🙏🤓
ОтветитьI’ve been obsessed lately with the idea of making a strip quilt but with a consistent colour theme. Love the idea of starting with the same fabric in each centre. This answers all my questions. I especially like how you organize your blocks after laying it out. Really good tip!
ОтветитьLovely!
ОтветитьThis was a fantastic video! Thank you so much! Especially showing the layout ideas.
ОтветитьSorry if I missed this but other than the foundation piece do you use batting and a backing?
ОтветитьLove your quilt. Thank you for your video. Just found your channel.❤
ОтветитьI always wondered if I could sew cotton to flannel. Glad you can. 😊
ОтветитьI love this quilt since the center lines form a diamond when put together. I would love to see this in a rectangular block.
ОтветитьAlways wanted to make a string quilt
ОтветитьBeautiful, thanks for the great ideas!
ОтветитьLove this quilt
ОтветитьI wish you had the yardage for the center strips & borders. I will need to buy that yardage
ОтветитьI spent today binge watching your channel and I just want to tell you - I’ve been having a tough time with grief after a bereavement, and you have been more comfort and uplifting to me today than I can tell you. Your pure joy in what you do is absolutely tangible and it’s lifted my spirit and seen me inspired and happy today. Thank you for sharing your enjoyment with us, it’s been a lovely afternoon with my headphones on, watching your videos and listening to your cheerful voice, like seeing the first daffodils in Spring 😊
ОтветитьThank you so much for explaining about how you put your rows together! I have the same type of dyslexia and get so confused when trying to put the rows together! You just saved me!!
ОтветитьI’ve had just finished a fussy quilt and I had some string blocks that a friend had made so off I went and made a whole load more and your right it’s mindless sewing and that’s just what I needed after an intense quilt.
ОтветитьI like this video. Question tho. After you make it and the backside is pressed out do you add another piece for backing? Or give it like that? Which by the way i love all the colors you made. ❤
ОтветитьI love these colors. 😍
ОтветитьLove every one of your quilts! Absolutely gorgeous
ОтветитьSo what do you do for the BACK of the quilt?? I am confused because you did not show how to finish it!
