While there are certainly lots of unanswered questions about the impact the technology will have on society, a vexing question within our field is – What does it mean to be educated? In an era where computers can write for us, compute for us, plan for us, and present for us… where do our skills matter?

About Dr. Suzanne Newell:

Suzanne’s educational career spans over 25 years and includes public sector experience as a teacher, campus leader, curriculum specialist, executive director, professional developer, consultant, coach, and adjunct professor. Having served in small, mid-size, and large districts spanning a wide array of demographic and geographic configurations, she brings deep and broad understandings to her work in education. While she spent most of her career serving public schools, her current role as Chief Education Strategist for a technology company allows her to support a wide array of educational contexts, providing professional learning, advising, and mentoring current and future school leaders. In addition to this work as a Strategist, she recently founded the ConnectEd Learning Community and hopes to use this platform to give back to the field that has helped shaped the leader she has become.
