Ask any questions here in the comments, and I will make a video between episodes to answer great questions!
ОтветитьGreat info. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьThat is helpful. I have an older boat (supra). I like the idea of using the phone to get pitch and roll and trying to recreate that each session, but it would be nice to do that with an aftermarket sensor installed on the centerline of the hull or deck and gauge that goes in the dash. Does that exist? I guess what I am asking is the availability of an aftermarket retrofit auto-wake like system for older boats. Anyone doing that?
Ответитьgreat and informative video - keep em comin'!
ОтветитьSo I have a 2019 Axis T23 with no sensors on pitch/roll/draft. Am I dead in the water on finding a consistent wave or are you suggesting that when I find a good wave that I like to measure it against the clinometer?
ОтветитьI've been watching your videos for years now and have noticed yall almost never surf behind or talk about MasterCraft. I love the wake behind my '18 X22 and often surf behind a '19 xt25 and the wakes are great but never can compare them to any other modern wake boats. just wondering how they match up against other top dogs in the surf industry thanks.
ОтветитьWhich Clinometer app did you use? I see a bunch of them in the app store.
ОтветитьCould you list a link to the actual app please ? There are a bunch of them on App Store.
ОтветитьYou mention your settings for pitch and roll. Do you normally take those at rest or while underway? Which one gives you the best results?
ОтветитьWe need the part 2!
ОтветитьGreat Video and great explanation of pitch and roll & recommendation on the clinometer. Please make a follow up video. Is there a delay because Barbie and Ken are in quarantine?
ОтветитьThanks for this. Summer is upon us. Looking forward to the next episode(s). It's time for us all to get on with life!
ОтветитьWe just got our 2019 se550, we need some help setting up the wave, would you mind helping us?
ОтветитьLove this guy’s passion!
ОтветитьI'm going to try the clinometer idea and focusing on weight, pitch and roll with max surf tab and neutral center plate. I have a 2017 Nautique GS22 with extra bags in the rear lockers, and man I am having the hardest time to get a longer, pushy wave. I'm 6'1" 250lbs using a couple different boards (Ronix Koal Technora Powerfish+ 5' 3", and a Ronix Flyweight Conductor 5'), and the only place I can get push or "find the pocket" is literally a board's length from the swim platform - the very beginning of the wave. There is no room to play around at all. My wife and kids (all less than 200lbs, using a 5'4" Liquid Force Rocket) have nearly the same issue. They can get a couple of feet further back, but that's about it. Wave seems quite steep as well. The default surf settings on the GS22 are horrible it seems. We've been playing around with all the factors - speed, ballast weight, weight distribution, NSS, NCRS -- and it's a freaking nightmare. Speed 80% of our time out on the water just messing around with settings - hoping to finally find that magical number that lets us have a decent wave. By the time we are all totally wiped out, we still haven't made any real progress and have to try again the next outing. Love surfing, but this kindof sucks. :( Really beginning to think we purchased the wrong boat lol. I am praying your advice will help me out. Do you have any suggestions for me?
ОтветитьWhen you buy a Supra do they educate you on how to set all this up in the boat?
ОтветитьGREAT videos! For those of us who are newer to wake surfing, this info is great. Seriously looking forward to seeing your future episode on what makes a great wave. For those of us who don't have much experience, being shown what a great wave looks like would be very helpful. Clean face, steepness, length, etc. may seem intuitive, but seeing examples would be awesome! Keep up the great work and stay safe!
ОтветитьGreat video.
ОтветитьCan i make wakesurfing on outboard boat?
ОтветитьDude, you're freaking awesome. Thank you for vids.
ОтветитьWhat would you think would be the best boat I could buy for surfing under the $30k price range
ОтветитьThanks for the quick reply man your awesome..my son watches your videos all the time he’s 9yrs old and if you have time to watch my video of him he learned a lot from studying your videos...I have found a 06 Enzo sv230 that I think would be a good starting tool.i didn’t think I would be able to find one at my price point it’s gonna be a road trip but I think it’s gonna be the one
Ответитьdo you have any tips for making a good wake behind a jet boat (scarab 255)
Ответить@wake9 where do you guys have your surf tabs set at? If factory default, what is that? Thanks
ОтветитьDo think think your pitch, roll, and draft numbers work well for older boats that have to be listed (like your Tige)?
ОтветитьR. I have a 550 SE 2021. When I fill all ballast tanks the swim deck is not submerged. What is your experience?
Ответитьyou rjust enjoy driving rightÉ cuz i wana see you on a board surfin a nautique brother thanks for the info big dog im just a driver trying to create best surf for my rider but dang id love to get enuff nut to get on a bord
ОтветитьWonderful video. Thank you.
I'm from Brazil and I have a question. Is this configuration, 9th pitch up and 2nd roll, when the boat is stopped?
Thank you.
Hey, grew up slaloming/barefooting, dating myself, lol. I following your directions to a T for my newly acquired 05 Launch 21V and "Wow" is all I've got to say, you are definitely the "Wake Sensei!" Your research and hard work is much appreciated!
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video. It has helped us immensely and now I'm working on dialing things in. I am completely sold on the clinometer to dial things in, but do you calibrate it on a completely flat level surface or do you calibrate it while on the boat? If on the boat, do you calibrate it without ballast on the boat? Guessing you calibrate on a flat level surface, but unsure. Thanks again!
ОтветитьHey.. can I hire you to setup my boat?
ОтветитьGreat videos thank you! Is there a video on how to adjust the surf system on the screen? Just bought a 2022 Makai and don't see much on how to navigate the electronics on the screen. I get that it takes time, but it would be nice to see some video on how to navigate, what everything means, change settings etc.
ОтветитьThis man is the og that started expanding the sport to what it is today
ОтветитьThank you for this video it was very helpful.
Ответить2023 Moomba Max Mom in AL - exactly the information I was looking for. Want the perfect wave for my teen son to learn some tricks. He wakeboards and just started with surfing. Want him to get a flip on the wakeboard.
