FYI, Tarptent has been using zippers & magnet doors on their DCF for quite a while. Durston X-Mid pro 100% took "inspiration" from them. Also, the non-DCF Durston tents are made of Sil-poly, not nylon. Separately, I would recommend Easton Aluminum Nano stakes for better holding power in various soil types. My guess is your 4-stake tension concern is less about the tent and more about the stakes and soil-type at the campsite.

That said, I'm a fan of Durston products and appreciate your detailed review. Picked up the X-mid pro earlier this year and have yet to take it out due to the high snow year. Looking forward to field-testing it myself
