1. Do cockteil and Conures get along?
2. Can I keep them in the same cage and let them free at the same time?

I think you should inform people that free flight of parrots does work well in a baren surrounding.
I live in a very treed area, and anytime that I have free flighted a cockatoo, she always targeted a tree.
Always had her come back, but some might not. Especially in the beginning.
