I Tested 1 Star Pokémon Product Reviews

I might not be in the know but was that exeggutor card supposed to be Japanese? The rest of the cards were English.

Heres the issue with these reviews, these companies/ third party sellers are possibly selling back refunded items that seem unopened/tampered with yet the original buyer had open, take out any rares, put back commons, and sealed them back up and refund them

it could have been the warehouse/delivery ppl who tampered with those people's packages

I looked up that Mewtwo in the XY Evolutions pack, and its 200 bucks.

Honestly I won't be surprised if some of the 1-star reviews are just from people who didn't get anything good from the packs. Opening packs is essentially gambling and no one is guaranteed to win. Buying packs from stores, online or wherever you're gonna have to assume the packs may just be duds. Sure everyone wants to be that lucky person to get that high value card to which some may turn around and resell them but that's like thinking everyone wins at the casino. Are there winners? Yes. Are there a hell of a lot more losers? Absolutely. Difference being if someone really wants a card they can just spend the money and buy the single than chase after it in packs.

tldr: you won't get a comparable price to cost when you are buying cards, even regular packs.

Your average pack is probably a crap RoI at retail and at resell. Your odds of getting lucky however may vary. Honest resllers probably have packs worth more than or are comparable to the actual cost of the cards. Its a balancing act. Give too much and you make nothing, take too much and you get nothing, because buying blisters would be the better option.

What I think happened, is that the seller perhaps resealed the box around the blister, or the retailer did it to save the box, you see a lot of that in retail. Nothing is taken, the package is just repaired for sale.

I trusted an ebay seller that promised a Glitter & Glamours Sailor Jupiter. (I'm not a card collector.) It was listed no box. I display them out of the box, so that didn't bother me. What I got though... a poorly molded knockoff with a bad face paint job. Had no problem returning it, but I was so mad! Left a bad review and spent a little more (still on ebay) for a boxed one. Learned my lesson.

They were resealed.Look at the wrinkling on the back of that tack when you first took it out of the box.
That is from heating it up to reseal it with probably a hair straightener.

It's very possible that blisters get "resealed" and not tampered with, as someone who works in retail it is not uncommon to repair damaged packaging as to not lose out on Profits

Okay how Amazon works is that there are sold by Amazon then there is the marketplace seller which can get the buy box the buy boxes in most cases is not always Amazon themselves they're probably bought it from a unknown seller who was actually a scammer the front reviews are for the heading not for the individual sellers if he was going to do reviews you should have clicked on the seller's name he was buying it from and in most cases they get away with it because they just send it to Amazon themselves which is called a filament by Amazon

Honestly people never care about pokemon creating ETB or Box packs with ZERO HITS pure scam.. check many of my videos or a dumb common hit. These mystery packs you get many hits and never that many on a pokemon product EVER> However mystery packs do not expect OMG hits but a pokemon box COULD and i repeat COULD have a mega hit but that is a 1% chance so think of it like that guaranteed meh hits or so so chance of ANY hit. They ar ereally aimed at kids or new collectors. What do you expect they send you a $100 card plus post etc and make a loss. They will give you meh that is about it it is bulk

The hard part about Amazon is they list an item and then you purchase from a random seller based on the best price. You would never know what seller a reviewer bought from so you can't truly test on Amazon.

To be fair on the last one tho if you bought packs at target for $80 you aren’t getting even close to what was in there. Slim chance you do.
