Master Your Truck Camper Setup! Expert Tips for Smooth Travels

A few tips for preparing your truck for a camper!
A back up camera can be plugged into the factory harness when you take your tail gate off! I installed one right on my license plate. This one works awesome. For Scout Campers, you need a 1/2" rubber mat directly under the camper. You will also need 4 anchor points in the box weight rated to support the weight of the camper. i.e 500lbs x 4 is 2000lbs. I created a "spacer" to prevent the camper from touching the box. This won't happen on all trucks but if the camper rubs your box, it can make noise and not be ideal.
