Cant stand Geldof. Big ego.
ОтветитьGood to see Andy doing proper tv. He still looks so young. He's 73 you know!
ОтветитьWhy was that picture blurred ?
ОтветитьMidge is right ..everyone has an opinion. Just because someone doesn’t agree with you doesn’t make them a “hater”…it just means they have an opinion which may or may not defer from yours
ОтветитьI am not religious, however, I would just like to point out that around half of the continent of Africa are Muslim. Do They Know It's Christmas?
That would be like some rich/successful Muslim musicians from one of the many African countries showing staged video clips of some poor little chav kid in Manchester while singing 'Do They Know It's Eid/Bayram?'
stop with this cringe worthy ignorance please!
nothing can top the original version which in my opinion is the best
Ответитьpity what they did was exacerbate a problem caused by the government of that country, charity is never the answer to problems.
ОтветитьWhy do the 'woke' brigade have to bring everyone down? They weren't there there!! I watched Michael Buerk's report and wept! That image will always stay with me 😠❤🙏
ОтветитьWhy do they keep re-releeasing the song though? It's had it's time now move on!
ОтветитьGod bless Bob Geldof and Midge Ure. I know the woke people won't like this but who cares! These men and their fellow artists did a wonderful thing back in the day to bring awareness of starvation on the African continent. Maybe the words weren't right (according to the woke brigade) but they were right at the time. Maybe the woke brigade should take a look at the images we all saw back then. I don't think they could handle it, but Bob and his fellow artists surely did!! God bless them all for their contribution to this awful and CONTINUING famine in the continent of Africa. 🙏❤ We should thank Michael Buerk for his first reporting of this terrible awful tragedy 😠
ОтветитьWhy are they not letting us see the pictures by blurring them?
ОтветитьHow can he sit there when they are people in this country need help
ОтветитьGreat interview band aid ❤❤
ОтветитьMidge Ure. Legend
ОтветитьClimate change? Does Midge mean the weather?
ОтветитьI could listen to Sir Bob talk all day. Great craic and when will we be able to call Midge Sir Midge?
ОтветитьI really don't get some of the negativity to Band Aid. People grumble about the lyrics or some other petty reason. It was rushed through in days by these two and their colleagues and saved lives. Can imagine many would have moaned if they had done nothing but watched. Credit to them and yes it's about time Midge received a Knighthood.
ОтветитьSir Bob geldoff ❤
Ответить🎉 respect
ОтветитьMost people who saw the Michael Burke report in 1984 will remember the little girl who stood up, tried to turn round and then collapsed because she didn’t have the strength. It was believed she wouldn’t survive very long. That report and the face of that girl, spurred all of us into action apart from the politicians. There were butter and wheat mountains held by the EU, but were not being released. I remember Geldof getting irate with Thatcher about feeding starving children. If you don’t think your money makes a difference, that little dying child was on the Live8 stage, 25 years later. . While we in the west bicker over political ideology, war and famine still rage in Africa and people are starving.
ОтветитьTwo exceptional human beings. If only there were more of them.
I could listen to Sir Bob for hours.
Love Bob & Midge for all their hard work! And all the artists who have continued to work with the Band Aid Trust!
ОтветитьWhy didn’t Andi Peters shake Midge’s hand, I thought this was quite rude?
ОтветитьBob never lost it.
ОтветитьThey were amazing. Credit for both of them.
ОтветитьNo Internet, no mobile phones.....the single and the concert 7 months later were the most incredible feat of achievement. It was unique, and ground breaking. I lived and loved it. Do not let the modern naysayers tell you anythingelse....they WEREN'T THERE!
ОтветитьI was living in London during this time i remember it so well so many memories of London flooding back God bless the UK
ОтветитьStory tellers. Money makers
ОтветитьThese two are legends❤❤❤
ОтветитьJust get the farkin track!!
ОтветитьWhy not re-release the original for the 40-year anniversary
ОтветитьThese guys are legends and deserve the respect they've earned
Ответитьbefore charity record...what about George Harrisons Bangladesh?
ОтветитьWe all remember the impact of the news report on Ethiopia and the sheer frustration. Band Aid was inspiring and groundbreaking. All the negative comments are for now not then. Even the song is of its own, known by many and still raising money for people in need. Great interview and love Midge (still on tour & awesome). Respect to Bob.
ОтветитьAs he soon as he dissed trump he lost me
ОтветитьI wish Andy would get that Lipoma fixed. It’s fixating.
ОтветитьMidge Ure - the most underrated musician ever. The men who create my musical taste, who help me to survive all tough moments in my life. Thank you Midge!
ОтветитьAndi Peters looks young.
ОтветитьIts about time that Midge Ure received a Knighthood for all his work in the music industry. And also for his charity work.
ОтветитьAt the 12 minute mark, Bob said "we can do nothing about the fear of what Trump is going to do". What terrible thing is Trump going to do?
ОтветитьBand aid 2 shud b included it sold 3.8 million coppies
ОтветитьSo wonderful that so much money has been raised,,, Ed,,, please be quiet,,, £ 400 million ,,, fantastic.
ОтветитьSorting out our own rotten country is the priority! 😜
ОтветитьDoubtful on the 3rd live aid bob was fairly against live 8 so can't see it happening
ОтветитьLive Aid 25 will probably follow next summer. That kind of event would raise far more money 💰.
ОтветитьSorry people got think about our people in this country
ОтветитьHow about the people in this country and people with the flood in this country
ОтветитьThank you bob and midge for this timeless, wonderful, magical, beautiful song that still gives me so many goosebumps❤ story behind it only makes it more magical and unforgettable
ОтветитьDid anyone in Ethiopia ask for help? I don't think so, so what makes you think they need your help? I guess it is you who needs aid to develop music that charted at number one. This is all about you and your ego, nothing else. Please stop utilizing these false narratives to damage Ethiopia's image.
ОтветитьOf course, you want it to be number one. When did you last have a number one song? It appears to me that you have run out of ideas or new music; therefore, you are playing your old game, which is quite monotonous. Shame on you! Ethiopia is still trying to change the picture you painted on the country forty years ago, so please stop this nonsense.
