I feel like DMZ was another crucial key to big map BR dying off. With all the AI it forced gunfights which usually brought players into the area, but it was scrapped and turned into MWZ which got stale pretty quickly.

And they took duos out , u best mode on big map IMO

See my issue is, I love BR. I love Solos, but because it's so dead in OC, my Solo lobbied are filling with 50 players max during active times. Otherwise in the morning and night, there's no games and I commect to semi-full, or max player Asia lobbies. So because of this, I too am forced to go play Resurgence where I'll find full OC lobbies almost all the time, if not Solos, then Quad fill. So I too will seem like I "prefer" Resurgence where in reality I play it for the sake of full lobbies. Would be amazing if they adjusted the big map zones to the player count. IMAGINE if the game started with 40 players, the game will concert it to "Mini BR" with only half the map in from the get go. If only the playerbase could be devs for some things.....

As odd as it may sound, lately I’ve been missing how mid caldera-era felt. More so than Verdansk. Don’t get me wrong, I miss verdansk too but Caldera felt so good after they fixed most of the issues.

I don’t think people would get bored of Verdansk just for the sake of the map. If they do get bored of it, it’ll be because the OG feel of it is gone. The graphics will be different, gameplay will be different, an entirely new set of guns, no floating loot, etc. Our 2020-2022 best years of BR is gone and deleted forever. Even at the end of Caldera, although people hated that map, I thought the state of the game was in a perfect spot.

Resurgence is more fun and it not hard to see why. who wants to wait to keep playing after you get killed? Not me and not my friends

Not fan of big map, thats good that ranked get resurgence mode. Do not need an event of the big map, its too long plus boring. We can get hunting event on resurgence, and especially on multiplayer,the most content should be for the premium cod, and not the free. And yes almazrah was much better br map. Big map isn't that fun.....why are player just asking old maps, but it won't be the same has warzone 1, so just brand new map, plus i hate when they put event on big map, because ill have to miss them......

In my opinion, the widespread cheating has defeated Warzone in general. It’s sad being an average player in Warzone and just strategize, get all ready, and then get hosed. Not too fun. And the developers don’t really care just make another skin or stupid ass gun variant.

WarZone had a great Big Boy Map in Verdansk, since then the Big Maps have been boring.

That’s cause the big maps get you trapped and killed by snipers constantly. Then if your teammates die they back out. Pretty terrible to play honestly. Rebirth is fun at least.

Honestly, they are only worried about the money. Look how many bundles and stuff they have dropped. The prices are ridiculous. Maybe if people stopped spending money on bundles we could turn their focus to updating the maps or even new maps. Big creators like you, timthetatman and others have the pull to help with getting things turned around. Something to think about.

Verdansk was the perfect size map and really promoted gun fights. Also the areas of the map were just put together perfectly.

They only care about the money in your wallet and not the game. They knew warzone 2 wasn't going to be popular so they neutered warzone 1 to make the sequel more appealing. All that matters is if the next cod sells in some way regardless if its bad. The only w change that they introduced that feels like a breath of fresh air is just the meat shield feature and ability to talk while its happening and omnimovement in bo6. The sooner yall realize this pattern to how they make these cod game and handle them the sooner yall will realize theyve never cared about the playerbase.

I don’t agree that the player base shifted to resurgence because there are more updates on that mode. The majority of the player base just doesn’t like looting for 10 minutes before getting into a gunfight, potentially losing, losing a gulag and then waiting for a buy back. The BR mode is just a niche mode which not a lot of players enjoy. My estimation is that less than 5% play BR so it’s not worth dedicating development time to it.

The problem with activision is they don’t stay up to date on what the community wants. They see what we want and then wait years to change the game and then they shove it down our throats over and over and burn us out of it. Just like resurgence, we all wanted it to come back but we also didn’t want it to be the only map on the game for every season

WARZONE has seemingly given up on Big Map Gameplay this year... Hopefully that trend doesnt continue into Black Ops 6! Thanks for tuning in!
