That thing is just bonkers! looking forward to seeing it in person but obviously this is more targeted to the wealthy Aston Martin collector who want's something special for their estate garage, same deal with the very expensive Rolex, Omega and other 007 watches that go for premium prices.

Another far less expensive way to get one is to buy the regular model, strip the paint on all the steel body parts and gold plate the body parts prior to construction

I would love it if they released BMT216A in its original colour, which was Dubonnet Red, interestingly BMT 216A first appeared on the small screen in an episode of The Saint, one of the B/W episodes, unfortunately Roger Moore didn't drive it on screen. That aside building this would be an amazing Sprueverse challenge!

Perhaps Agora Models should focus more on the release of new models instead of over the top limited edition that go for 29,000 euros. Impossible to buy for the regular builder. I would much more prefer a flush fit on the Miura or less plastic parts on the Ferrari than this. And when is the JB collection going to continue with something else than another Aston DB5. There are three running subscriptions on that car alone right now😂

I'm always tempted to buy limited editions as the value increases over the years as people become careless with them making mine more valuable. But with a $30k model, I'm sure collectors will keep this in a highly secured locked case never to be touched. And I bet the majority of buyers will order the pre-built option. I know I would because I would be too scared to touch it!

A very thick mat and careful handling are needed when handling those gold plated bodywork pieces during building considering that the gold plating is something like 2 microns thick and easy to scratch away.

Ok this is because as of today gold is $2,581 per ounce or £1,953 so you minus price of actual model that means there’s roughly over 10.5 ounces of gold weight on this car. It’s only plated though it would be funny if for the rich people buying this thing if there’s only 2 ounces of plated gold 😂
