ОтветитьI use bacon fat to fry the Onion and garlic for a minute or two, then add mushrooms, carrots, celery, corn off the cob if I have it, make my own chicken stock with vegetables, then strain it, add that to the partly cooked bacon fat vegetables, then add barley, it simmer for hours, then debone the chicken from the stock and add it last. I use bay leaf, and other spices.

Tasty food made from scratch but not pretentious, pie in the sky recipe ideas. Thank you for making this look achievable to get me back into cooking more again!

ОтветитьAdd garlic, thyme, salt, pepper and chop your chicken beforehand. No chef would ever serve a soup without salt and pepper. Lol c'mon.
