ОтветитьOld Dirt jumping vids bring back the best memories! Schank & Soil are my top 2 \m/
ОтветитьSprung 3 got me out of local boring MTB rides and into dirt jumps and then bmx, 25 years ago seeing barend getting shredded by pros on sprung 4 when I didn't even know they had visited was amazing, I just got the same buzz seeing the same section on your video 😄 please keep making these 😁
ОтветитьReally good video! I love the editing
Ответитьgreat story, great video. thanks for posting
Ответитьlove these vids 🎉🎉🎉🎉 pbay
ОтветитьI remember sprung 4 pretty well
ОтветитьYes dude! SPRUNG!! I remember these videos fondly. They were unanimously enjoyed by the group i rode with as a kid, which was a mix of BMXers & MTBers - which i guess makes Sprung even more of a unique thing too. Loved by all!
Always enjoy your vids man, but .... 4 mins?! Thats a stew, not a brew! 😂
The long form works. Good to hear your thoughts. Spring were good and are still good with a na excellent props style feel to them.
P.S. I to admit I read MBUK as a child before I got into BMX with the occasional foray into reading Dirt. We can cry about our shame together.
I got into all this after Sprung but still credit Alex Rankin with kickstarting my bike obsession. The lad across the road from me lent me a copy of Earthed 2 for a week. I must’ve watched it 10 times in that week and it properly fuelled my obsession with riding. I still miss Dirt mag to this day. I sometimes still look through MBUK when I see it on the shelves these days but very rarely actually buy it as it just does nothing for me. Dirt was always much more raw and written in the style of Sidewalk skate mag or Ride UK BMX. They always had better photos too. Some of those images are burnt into my mind. I’ve actually recently been searching for an old article I think they did on a DMR trails trip from 2010 ish. They rode Woodyard in that one which was something in itself as it was a very BMX only spot at the time. I think they said in the article that they were the first people on jump bikes who were allowed to ride there.
ОтветитьThis series of throw back videos has been a nice trip down memory lane. Thanks for putting it together.
ОтветитьSheeee never heard of sprung thx for the knowledge fam !
ОтветитьYo boys, loving your vlog style story telling of bike riding. Hope your well.

These videos are the absolute best!! Great memories of Sprung and everyone can relate to the history and progression of getting into the best sport in the world! Great work Boyd!
ОтветитьLoving these 20 minute heavy hitters
ОтветитьThanks for sharing
ОтветитьAlex Rankin's contribution to cycling cannot be overstated. Thanks Boyd for doing Sprung justice.
ОтветитьGreat story, awesome video. Thanks Boyd!
ОтветитьGreat video Boyd! I ran a set of trails with Alex in the late 90s so got to hear a fair bit about early days of Sprung....little did I know back then what it would evolve into and the influence it would have. After watching videos like Matt Hoffman's Head First I was out of MTB and into BMX by the mid 90s so was too busy digging at the trails and getting absorbed into the fire, beer & mayhem that was 20 inch to be into Sprung when it became popular. Now looking back I get it. Sprung was a classic case of the right timing with creativity aplenty. MTB was fast leaving it's lycra clad XC roots behind and moving on and Sprung showcased this as well as exposing BMX to a lot of big wheeled riders blending the two making it pretty unique. I honestly think the late 90s/early 2000s was the zenith of riding and I'm always delving back into old videos and being blown away by how progressive it was! Deffo going to have to add some Sprung to the watch list! Keep the vids coming Boyd, amazing work!
Ответить🤘
Ответитьanother sick video! Excited to see what this season brings for y'alls epic spot!
ОтветитьThank you for the kind words, I'm continually amazed that people even remember Sprung. I remember how excited and nervous we were when Steve Geal agreed to film with us for Sprung 1. We couldn't believe it, we were just fans. Good times. Keep up the good work! Cheers.
