Buy up any remaining one oz proofs up to the amount (including getting them graded) that buying a pre graded 70 would cost and maybe you will get a 70 in there. If so, sell the rest as 69s or whatever they are or take them out of the slabs and sell them ?

It is a good question my friend! I would want a machine set also, but there is a little more profit to be had down the road with first 500 label as some prefer these labels. Hard decision but I think Iwould save it and watch the market for a matching label and see if I felt like flipping the first 500 one to offset the cost or just hold them both when the time came. Thanks for sharing.

Keep the first 500 in that slab 100% for sure, It will be worth more that way. Just get another PF70 on Ebay I just saw one for $190

I Numi: I have to slap that you want, and would be happy to do a trade plus throw in something extra or the differential value. Just PM me if you are interested. Best wishes, LL

The true provenance of the original set is authentic only with the consecutive bar code numbers. Leave them as is. Love the videos and info Numistacker and that Gov Mint edition is a keeper in its own right.

Leave it as is. How likely are you to sell these? Probably unlikely You are a collector, not a flipper :D

I`d sell it and buy a brown label one with the money. i find it a little annoying that NGC produces all these cheesy pointless labels nowadays.

Who are we kidding here? I don't think you plan on selling the set any time soon anyways, so I would just keep the tower bridge slab and sell your pf69

hmm.. the frame looks so much better with the london image. It would be a waste to crack out. I think a trade with louie would be the easiest route. I've been trading a bit. I just traded out my AU55 $10 indians for pre33 silver dollars.

Another option is to get a pf69 reverse proof to match up a set and make a unique 70s set of all the different variations/labels, or am i just confusing things haha.

Selling a set PF70/PF69 might well amount to not as much cash as a PF70 set. However, add in the GovMint PF70 to the equation and I sure you'll be better off. Hving said that, my advice - keep what you've got but keep them together for now. Let's face it, you may well sell the PF69 but why would you ever part with that PF70 reverse proof - it's spectacular! Leave the conundrum to the next generation and hold onto it until you shed off the old mortal coil. Just ma two bob's worth! LOL

I'd keep it in the slab because it only adds to the uniqueness of the set. By reslabing, you'd be taking away a certified first struck for uniformity, and in my opinion, this would not be sidestepping, but taking a step back from uniqueness and, thus, future marketability to sell for a higher price.

great video again sir. proof coins are lovely little gems but they do have a downside and that's price. on the over hand they are the best of the best i think? again, great video

I would probably agree with leaving the slabs the way they are. If you really wanted to you could always sell them individually of course.

I'm sure someone with a plain brown label would trade for the first 500 label or u could keep it and buy another if you have the fund lol

See if you could trade it for one in with a brown label, if you intend to sell the set uniformity would be the best option IMHO.Re whether or not it is 1st 500 or not I don't think it would make a shred of difference to value in a years time as it is the coin that is important not some fancy label.
