Imagine the sound when those wave are crashing right beside him. I bet it sounds like a train 👀 he just put out an awesome long form podcast on the Shawn Ryan Show. Talks about them creating that “tow out” method and several near death experiences. Goes really deep into Laird’s life and development, just finished listening it was great and good god this is next level

I know absolutely nothing about surfing, but his control and speed are incredible! To me it looks like he's dodging the wave as it rolls over, changing his direction so he doesn't get caught in it? For all I know, it's probably standard procedure. Amazing footage, this has to be the pinnacle of an adrenaline rush!
