was this game smaller scale than normal? if so, how many units are on each side normally?

As everyone said, gorgeous board and pretty miniatures. The rules look a bit fiddly to my liking, but gave me an idea: what about adapting Bolt Action rules to the period? Shooting should be shorter range (e.g. 12 inches) and less accurate (e.g. base to hit number of 4+), and close combat less bloody (e.g. retreats if beaten rather than outright elimination) but everything else, at least for infantry, should work about the same, no?

That is rather interesting system. I wish the models were just slightly cheaper though, even if they are beautiful.

what point size are these armies? I'm trying figure out how the Guarda Costas have so many men in 1 unit. Also how are the 2 Milicianos units allowed to be that close to each other, don't the rules state that they should be kept as two seperate units if possible?
