I’ve got a revo rocket toro 60 and it will flat throw a live bait 100 yards wity a twitch of the wrist , i haven’t even been able to fully cast it on my 8’ okuma battle cat rod , and it’s a deadly combo for the Ohio River where I live .. only flaw is no bait clicker , $400 reel and you don’t get a clicker on a huge ass reel ? Makes zero sense to me , I think they realized that and added one to yet newest max 4-60 low pro reel .. too many pay lake and river fishermen using these style reels not to have a clicker in my opinion
ОтветитьAny chance we see a Daiwa Prorex review?
ОтветитьI've never seen a belleville or bellvue washer in a reel...I've seen crescent washers commonly known as spring washers though.
ОтветитьSeabass!
ОтветитьI made my choice tranxs 401 it is 😎
ОтветитьShimano is a good made reel just wish they looked better than they do not a fan of there looks
ОтветитьDo you think he's a shimano fan don't have much good to say about the others
Ответить2018 antares dc md is still the best 👍
ОтветитьGreat tutorial!!!💪💪💪😊
ОтветитьWould like to have seen the jdm tatula 400 in here. It's a great reel and the stainless steel pinion gear makes it a good reel for durability. Also have what Shimano call x ship unlike most lexas and has micro gears.
ОтветитьThis video has NO EQUAL - this is by far the BEST analysis I've ever viewed - wow - what a great job, we all benefited from this!!!
ОтветитьReally great Video!
Ответитьthis is the first time i can see your face
Ответитьcould you tell what your rod is pls? ta
ОтветитьHave you looked at the new Dawia lexa 400 tw, I want to compare to the next Tranx 400. What are you thoughts.
ОтветитьYou just made me a fan of my new Tranx. I am going to migrate toward these away from my "Round" Abu's
ОтветитьAny suggestions for a salt water baitcaster preferably 150 200 size 200$ to 300$ price range. I can’t make up my mind between the Shimano chronarch g, tranx 150/200 or the daiwa coastal 200hs. I’m twitch jigging for coho and chinook salmon in the PNW. Thank you 🙏
ОтветитьVery helpful video in deciding a buy. Thank you! I have my first ever baitcaster reel - a KastKing bought and it has plastic gears. I opened it up and found three teeth on of the plastic gears broke off and now it won't spin properly anymore - making grinding noises. I'm never buying anything with plastic gear ever again!
ОтветитьI'm going for a Daiwa t-wing prorex 8.1 for river/lake trophy stripers
ОтветитьBellviels maintain drag consistency when drags heat up on big fish with heavy drag settings due to thermal expansion. Reason I dislike the tranx is the drag fails due to this effect. Get a lexa
ОтветитьRevo beast X, sx or the stx if they are priced both at $120 right now.
ОтветитьLove your reviews BUT everyone brings bias into everything they do.
ОтветитьHii bro congrats nice video .... waht do you think Peen Fathom 400 vs tranx 400?
ОтветитьDude, what camera did you use for this?
ОтветитьAre u done with this page
ОтветитьDo you think the Tranx 400 would work as a long distance surf casting reel for pompano on a 12 foot surf rod? Mostly cast 90 yards or less with an4 oz lead and high low bait rig.
Ответитьi love this kind of clarification. it is very in details unlike some reviews they just focus on cosmetic of the reels and casting distance only.
ОтветитьThanks for an amazingly detailed review of these reels!
This is invaluable, and it certainly helped me make an informed choice (as opposed to manufacturer marketing BS).
I have the Lexa 400. I went with that over the Tranx. I'm very happy with it. I have Shimano rods and reels and Daiwa... and Avet... so I don't discriminate either.
ОтветитьMan, if this was one of your early videos, this comes naturally to you. I can't imagine how much 4 years of growth could do to you.
This is my first time here and I'm here to stay. Thanks for the exceptional quality of content 🤙
I just ordered the Lexa 300 HD. I wish I had crossed this video first. No bait stores seemed to carry the reel so I could examine it. After seeing the 400’s size to the 300, and the metal piece on the 400 vs the plastic piece on the 300. I believe it would have been worth the extra $50. The reel will go on the Daiwa DX 8ft Heavy/fast rod. It’s for throwing 10” swimbaits and A-rig at Lake Guntersville. I’m sure I’ll love the 300, but it’s truly a big bait rod and reel, so now I’m wishing I’d have went bigger.
ОтветитьIt would be nice to find all steel gears that could replace the plastic ones for the reels.
ОтветитьHello Scoobydoo, can you help me please with Tatula 300 vs Tranx 300? Palmability/castability/quality...? TYVM....
ОтветитьWhat about the TranX side plate coming off & the spool falling out all by itself?
ОтветитьMeu Deus quantas carretilhas maravilhosas, manda uma pra mim aqui no brasil cara, seja generoso kk
Ответитьfor me iv fallen in love with shimano but I took my old abu ambassadeur revo s from 2009, still smooth as butter if you want something that will last you a lifetime you should buy an Ambassadeur wich includes all the revo beast and toro beast, shimano has been super smooth way smoother than abu and i do not doubt that shimano is better quality but i think abu reels are built like tanks and that makes up for the loose in quality
ОтветитьWhat you guys think about the Daiwa Lexa cc400?
ОтветитьBefore I purchased the Tranx 300 I wanted to ask do you know how it compares to the Penn fathom?
ОтветитьAny intentions to do 2020 version of comparison of high end heavy duty baitcasters?
ОтветитьHave you or anyone compared the trax 300 to the new Penn battle fathom?
ОтветитьDayum if Shimano adds a escape hatch pin and a clicker it’s going to be hard to beat
ОтветитьAppreciate the reviews! I have been looking for a new musky specific reel, and I hate how the disengaging levelwind reels cast (compared to like a Calcutta 400b, it casts super easy with a non-disengaging levelwind). I have had three pinion gears strip, and two spool pins break on two lexa 400. Very frustrating. The handle falls forward and engages midcast. The tranx sure gets good reviews, but I may even lean towards a komodo. I'll keep watching!
ОтветитьLooking to throw 3 ounce swimbaits (bucca bull shads and bull gill) for musky/ bass. Trying to decide between Shimano tranx 300 and the lexa 300 hd. Would you recommend one over the other? Thanks
ОтветитьI love the Tranx however I just don’t think that you get 90 dollars more reel than the Daiwa 300
ОтветитьIs that worm gear plastic on Abu
ОтветитьA-Booooo👎Garcia!
ОтветитьCouldn’t ask for a better review. Very well done and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.
ОтветитьExcellent review! Very helpful indeed.
Ответитьlove it thanks. ill sub keep it up. I would love to hear an in depth review on the lexas
ОтветитьGreat review !! Thanks
