3 Bookish Facts (cause I am a new vlog watcher):
1. Probably more than half of the books I own are not read and are still in the TBR list (Most are series that are not finished and I tend to buy them early so as to have them the same, exact size or I just buy then not read them and wait for the series to finish)
2. Yes, I hate it when my books are not in the same edition!!!
3. I can never follow through my tbr list :( (i am a mood reader and another reason is... I tend to read books I don't own which leads to the first fact...)
Once I gets started reading a book which is a series I end up reading all the books from that series even if I don't like any book from it
Another one is I keep writing the words I didn't understand and make a vocabulary list
I don't like reading ebooks but books I want to read is not affordable I have to read it vertually
I quite literally do the exact same thing that you do Hanna! I no longer feel alone in my own little world of books thank you so much for sharing this with us!♥️♥️
Ответить1. I have to use my moma's memorial card as a bookmark to get the story in my head (her favourite thing besides me was reading) cause she made me love reading
2. I don't eat around books
3. I have a book always in my bag
4. My favourite place to read is a coffee shop
5. If I don't like a book or can't get into a book I will just get rid of it
6. I told my friend to take my away from the movie cover of Simon Vs The Homosapinse Agenda book just cause Nick Robinson was on the cover lol
7. I stopped reading a book cause my favourite character died
I keep rules for my friend too 😂
No dog earring-only bookmarks
No bending the book more than 90 degrees
No reading my book while eating
I always shout at my books when characters a dumb or do something dumb.
Also I own about 10 bookmarks and only use one or two of them.
I totally relate to having so many bookmarks but ended up using receipts instead😂
ОтветитьI have a book recommendation- 'Never Let You Go'
Ответитьhey there, does anyone down here know a good playlist for reading? (I'm reading Pride and Prejudice btw)
Ответитьif you come to UK go to Waterstones. it's outstanding and if you get a Waterstones card you can get points if you spend £10+ and once you have all the points you get a free £10 back.
ОтветитьSomeone else who reads multiple books at a time! Everyone always thinks I'm crazy for reading three or four books at once.
Ответитьyou're videos are the best
ОтветитьSome bookish facts about me:
If I see something that I consider a mistake, or is a mistake, in a book, I'll automatically fix it, then I'll devote the next five to ten minutes of my life trying to see if it's an actual mistake the author made or if it's just their writing style.
When I'm alone in the house while I'm reading and someone keeps on texting, Snapchating, or contacting me while I'm deep into focus in my book, I'll literally scream at my phone screen for them to shut up...... I..... Have a problem.
When I'm reading and there's a fan blowing near me, I find myself getting tired quicker....
I am always reading three or four books at one time. I take books with me when I am in a car or at work. I am also very stingy with my books as well. My favorite genres are fantasy, classic literature (especially Jane Austen). I also hate to sell my books even when I am short on cash. My favorite book stores are Barnes & Noble and Half Price Books.
ОтветитьGirl I do the exact same thing with the number of books I read at once!!! I'm an exceptionally moody reader and can't stay on one book for a whole day, I love switching things up so much and don't think I can ever just read one book at once!!! So glad I'm not the only one
ОтветитьI dead multiple books are once too, because I like to have different variants
Ответитьdo you still yell at your books. what is wrong?
ОтветитьSome bookish facts about me
1) I'm more likely to read a book if it has a male protagonist. I think this stems back to my identity as a trans male, and the fact that I heavily identify with and get attached to characters.
2) My books need to be in perfect condition. My mom recently packed up my books and when I took them out the covers on a few of my softcovers have folded and I genuinely hate my life because of it.
3) I hate how slow audiobooks feel (even sped up to double speed) but they're so damn convenient.
Lol I'm soooo late.
But I just need to share my book habits:
1) I don't really care if my books look mutilated, as long as none of the pages are ripped (this is a big and ironic issue for me. Most of my books, if the cover is damaged, the pages are fine and in perfect condition. If a page from a book is ripped, THE COVER IS IN PERFECT CONDITION, so I'm just like, "Shook.")
2) I prefer books with a few problematic storylines than books that are utterly (or almost) perfect in terms of plot. It's cause I can relate to a book I cringe at. Not just plot, but if a book has a cringe-worthy character, I will have to read more about them.
3) I literally scream at my book whenever there's an insta-love moment or I read about a brooding bad boy with a dark past. It's also quite problematic, as I see a lot of guys my age acting like this just 'cause their crush is a fan Twilight or the Shadowhunters.
EURGGHH
4) I try to bring books wherever I go, but my mom never lets me. Saying it's 'Disrespectful' and 'Pointless'.
5) I come from a community where reading a lot of books make you either unpopular or just somewhat alien (I mean, only if you're not valedictorian or something, in which case if you are, people will definitely like you). So whenever I encounter someone who has read a series that ISN'T HARRY POTTER I will literally want to be your friend. Which is weird, because I am super introverted.
YA stands for young adults
ОтветитьSimilar but different to when you said you wanted to visit book stores, I think I would like to visit different libraries all over the world. ☺️
Ответить1) My favorite genres are fantasy, and crime (both fictional and true)
2) I like hard backs because I can’t look at a broken book
3) I love love love black leather bound books with gold text on the spine (the front and back needs to be blank)
1. Romances don't interest me. Now matter how complex the situation gets or how unimaginable the ending is, i always feel like i know the maximum pages of the book and i can't force myself to stretch through the book.
2. I prefer series because by the end of any book, it's very common for me to be attached to the character or keep thinking about its possibilities. And i hate it when any book ends so i love when a book takes forever to do so.
3. i hate books where the protagonist is a young teen or a kid. Like anyone under 15 irritates me !
This is an old video but I recently found your videos and I was introduced to the world of booktube and I didn't think there was anything like this, I love it so much
About my three facts I would say 3 of them we share, like I also can't stand my books getting damaged because I suffer, (i had a book I bought that unfortunately got a bit scratched on the cover while it was in my luggage and I can't see anything else when I look at my shelve)
I also don't like covers where there are people in it, it kind of break up my visuals? I like to read and imagine the characters and those pics limit that, also I'm more inclined to love book covers that have illustrations in it
I love pretty books and usually only look at a book description if it has a pretty cover
This is the most relatable thing I’ve ever seen.
Ответить1) I don't actually ignore people when I read. I can perfectly have a conversation and read without getting angry or having to make eye-contact.
2) If it is a hard cover, and if the sleeve is not attached with tape, glue, etc, I will 80% of the time remove the shell while I am reading.
3) My bookshelf is like a giant TBR (to be read list). On the left of the shelf are the books I want to read, in order that I want to read them. This includes series, trilogies, etc. Once I finish a book, I put it all the way on the bottom right hand side of the shelf like its a giant train of books. I keep doing this until I have read all the books on my shelf and I move those to my basement library.
I love to drink things while I read books. Specifically water or coffee.
ОтветитьI can relate to most of the things you said ☺️❤️
ОтветитьI always read in public. I'm 12 and will be turning 13 in may. Want to be an actor and want to go to leeds college and study drama/performing arts because it's fun. Also I remember the only time I ever verbally sed something to a book was when I was in public with my sister. I was reading 'Murder In Midwinter' (you should definately read it) and as I got halfway through the book. I got really mad at this boy called Oliver and started wisper shouting at him to stop saying stuff to this girl. She was on a verge of being murdered and deserved comfort. Sorry but Yeh. Need to read this but. It's a classic thriller
Ответить1. When I read I can't read very much in one sitting. After three chapters or so (sometimes based on how interesting the book is) i need to take it down and do something else, but i go quickly back to it
2. I really can't binge series. When I loved the first book i often directly start the second one (If I have it), but i lose interest in it very fast (no matter how good the book actually is; i just need something new everytime). That's also why i recently started to read like 2 books at the same time.
3. I'm so bad at deciding, so i cut out a piece of paper and write the name of the new book i got on it, so i have a little glass with all my TBR books. When I wanna read a new book i pick a paper and read the book.
I talk to and scream at my books as well😂
ОтветитьFact 1: I'm 16 and only started reading this year properly
Fact 2: I only got into reading after being diagnosed by my college (UK college) as being mildly dyslexic and having moderate Irlen Syndrome (google it)
Fact 3: The first book I read when I got into reading was How to be Human by Ruby Wax and my favourite book is House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas
hi i love your account sm- and i have a question. you said you can read 80 pages , i only can read 40 pages , cause i have a lot of Distractions : phone, tv and etc .. i read more in phone, cause i get used to it. and mostly its just fanfiction, but i really want to read more. and get into books more. if you have some tips or any thing that could help I'll glad to hear them anyway have a good day<3
ОтветитьI bring a book whoever I go too.
ОтветитьI never damage books.
ОтветитьI yell at my books too!
ОтветитьI love ranting about books.
ОтветитьYou're not alone I also verbally express my anger if a character does something I don't appreciate
ОтветитьBelieve me you're not the only one who yells at her books, I do that a lot too😂 and my favorites characters to yell at are Jace and Clary😂 I know what you feel
ОтветитьWHO COULD BE TIRED OF YHOU
ОтветитьI used to read multiple books at once but now I read one at a time.
ОтветитьI don’t know if I’m the only one but, I always search people on Pinterest that look like the main characters and than while reading I see them. Sometimes I have to reread some lines because I want that scene in my head to be perfect 😅💕
ОтветитьI have gotten in the habit of screeching like a dying raptor as a way to express my emotions even if what I'm currently reading isn't very crazy I just screech because I love the book/ I'm remembering something that happened/ I get excited cause something I predicted happened...
...I did it so loud today that one of my family members checked to see if I was okay...
No you are not alone...all bibliophiles go through the same thing!!😁
Ответитьi yell at my books too
ОтветитьWow, I love this video so much and this is so cool. Wow, so nice.
