ОтветитьHello yummy ph! Thanks for this great recipe. I tried it several times already and it never fails everytime. 😍 However, I just had 1 problem everytime, the flan is not that firm. It is too soft. Any suggestion? Thanks a lot!
Ответитьin a bowl, add 6 egg yolks. add 300 ml condensed milk. stir in 180 ml evaporated milk. add 1 tsp vanilla. gently stir in a circular motion until blended. in a llanera (aluminum mold), add 1 tbsp sugar. add 1 tbsp water. continuously tilt and swirl the llanera over low heat to evenly caramelize the sugar. remove from heat and allow caramel to cool. pour leche flan mixture into the llanera. cover with aluminum foil. steam for about 40-45 minutes or until the custard sets. let cool and refrigerate before serving.

ОтветитьFinally made this recipe. Love it! Though I added calamansi juice instead of vanilla, and the texture is not that firm as I wanted. Nevertheless, I was so happy I was able to make something I just buy because I don't know how to cook it. 😍

ОтветитьYey! I used and followed this its just that I used more than 180ml evap, skipped vanilla and had it steamed for 30-35mins only. The outcome was great, really!! Thank you ❤️

ОтветитьThis might be a stupid question but I really have to ask since I have zippo knowledge of cooking nor baking. See I don't own a steamer and buying or borrowing one is out of the question. Is there an alternative method I can use for that step? If it helps I have access to a stove, oven toaster, microwave and your basic cooking pans. Well there's the oven too but it's out of commission atm and I'm hoping to not resort to that.. however if it's the only available option(I don't suppose I can use the oven toaster instead of this one huh? I am open to experimentation with the said contraption and it's certainly not an issue at all), then please do tell how to cook it with that. I would really appreciate it if you'd take your time to answer my query.

Oh an additional question. I don't own a llanera and I can't get it where I'm from. I'm thinking of improvising with a bunch of aluminum foils and whatnot but before I go about doing that, can you recommend another type of container I can use? I certainly hope it's something that is just lying around here(not that you'd know) or at least easy to obtain... Thanks again and sorry for the possibly no-brainer questions =.=
