I can’t believe anyone would 1 cent on a phone with a crease in the screen and also one that’s a subpar plastic feel under the finger. Just gets destroyed by pocket lint and has ZERO resale value.

Dust resistant is nice because it covers mostly all bases and if I was looking to get a regular fold again it would be a nice perk.... Those tri-folds are the new wave though.... 🤞🏾😁

Just got to turn out your pockets once in awhile and clean the lint out. I've had all my folds at the beach with no issues. You just have to be smart about how you handle it as well as wear you set it. Nice that there doing it but not a necessity.

An IP68 rating Fold 7 is next level

As a person who's been posting videos of the N5, I'd think you, of all people, would be able to see they're not doing anything "next level". Sure, if it's IP68, that'd be something better than their Chinese competition... but if that 1st number is a 4, it's not stopping anything small enough to benefit most people. Without a major battery upgrade they're not doing anything that's going to entice me to buy it personally. To be clear, I want it to be great, I have Samsung everything (TV, laptop, watch, tablet, buds), so it'd make ecosystem integration great. I'm also in the USA, so network compatibility, warranty, and insurance would all be easier. But if it's not competitive (on all fronts) I'm sticking with the N5 and my progressive insurance. If it's good, I'll sell the N5, trade in my S23 Ultra and get the Z Fold 7... but without a battery upgrade it's not going to work for me.

I can't get past paying over $2000 for a device with such a small battery, 25 watt charging capability, 12gb of ram and only 256gb of storage for the price. Mind you, it's not even the lightest device out there either. NOPE!! Samsung can get away with these crazy prices in America because of lack of options. Again.. NOPE. This is coming from a former Z Fold 3 and Z Fold 6 owner.

@greggles you have more confidence than I do. The last time Samsung updated the hinge was on the Z4. How did that turn out? Terrible. That's how. AND they're brining back the brushes???? You've got to be kidding me.

Samsung is using the Exynos in their cheaper flip. Exynos is knows for throttling issues due to overheating. One of the problems on the Z4 was the heat caused the glue to melt which dislodged the brushes. Those brushes got into the hinge and caused all kinds of problems. So they're putting a heat prone chip into a cheaper phone that will likely end up in the hands of more consumers. Regular consumers that will just treat the phone normally. This could turn into a PR nightmare for Samsung. I hope they know what they are doing.

Please give us a fire-resistant phone! And maybe also poor resistance!

That internal brush is the biggest issue. And a lot of fold4s won't even open flat because of the dislodged hinge brushes.

Dust resistance is something nobody is asking for, or very very few. We want top of the line cameras at this price point, faster charging and more battery capacity.

I am actually looking forward to the Z Fold 7.

Why don't they put the FP reader in the power switch like the Flip/Fold models? That one works great.

the only thing stopping me from buy a,fold phone is if it can fit otter defender protective case. can they endure drops?
