I've seen this Game Dungeon 5 times in a row but the "fabulous" part makes me laught everytime
Ответить"Your face disappoints me greatly!"
ОтветитьFabius repeating the "You do not understand!" spiel
Just reminds me how much i hate that as a villain trope
the Reapers from Mass Effect spring to mind
Also corn didn’t come to Europe till 1493. So if this is the 1300’s then this isn’t just flriting with anachronisms, it’s in an abusive relationship.
Ответитьwhere do i even get this game?
ОтветитьI think you're saying "brooch" wrong
Ответитьoh hey ross
Ответить"this is more like reading a book"
Please do Disco Elysium
Actually, I looked this up and it turns out Rasputin was not poisoned at all, effectively. The conspirators cooked the cyanide into the cakes which broke down its chemical structure and made it safe to consume.
This part never gets mentioned for the same reason other details of the assassination get added or exaggerated: it makes a better story. What actually happened is that some people who didn’t know how the poison they were using worked failed to poison him, so resorted to guns; and the bullets are indeed what killed him. After he was dead he may or may not have been castrated - I mean, somebody’s pickled penis is sitting in a jar in a Russian museum - then his body was thrown into the river, already dead.
After all of this the story became embellished nearly to the point of outright falsehood, partially because it helped the revolutionist narrative by making him a more threatening villain, but mostly I think just because it makes for a cool story.
If you like this kind of games where a medieval detective is solving crimes with demons and such check out Inquisitor from 2009. It's a great game murder mystery adventure unfortunately mixed with a terrible repetitive Diablo clone, but it's still worth a look.
ОтветитьJust the right mix of love and snark!
ОтветитьSpooky all year round
ОтветитьRoss, you first gotta take care of those
cursed cows on your cursed farm.
I think Diablo actually started from your farms.
I want to make a correction with awards: Rasputin had attempt to poisoned, however his would be assassins put cyanide in a cake. Which if you don't know sugar is used as a counter to cyanide, so in that case it was basically his assassins not realizing they tried to hide poison inside the cure.
I think a more worthy name for the award is "Mithridates Approved."
Now to sum it up Mithridates VI Eupator was so paranoid he was going to be poisoned that he spent a pretty much his entire life since childhood consuming every poison known to man at the time and even inventing new ones deadlier than than the last to boost his immunity. In fact it work so well when the one thing he didn't account for happened, that being guys with swords breaking down his door, he tried to escape capture by committing suicide... via poison. Basically resulting in the biggest back fire in history.
Now in this game's case, it actually came back to help Nick, because he has to probably keep drinking deadlier poisons to bring self to the brink of death without actually killing himself, anyone actually trying to kill Nick probably won't be able to get their hands on anything strong enough unless it's just straight up pure acid.
Tattoos ARE a sign of low intelligence though
ОтветитьHanged*
Ответитьsum up the game "What the hell, Nick ?"
Ответитьthis game's title is pronounced the same as my last name :O
ОтветитьDiscount Geralt kills himself to solve a murder mystery
ОтветитьWhen your so deprived for more game dungeons you start going back and watching the old classics :)
Ответить"Every day is Halloween." --Ministry
ОтветитьLol "middle eastern in origin"? Dude was straight up speaking latin.
ОтветитьThe girlfriend dilemma endings would have made more sense if it was established that her extra special blood meant the demon possessing her would die with her and wouldn't be able to possess someone else, but if she lives then the demon may find a way to control her or escape her body before her death.
ОтветитьThis is an odd video. I keep coming back to it because I keep forgetting what the game it covers is even vaguely about.
ОтветитьThe long hair would only be a factor in certain parts of Europe, namely western Europe. In Eastern Europe kings, priests and monks tended to not cut their hair short. Orthodox monks and priests still don't. So it wouldn't be seen as strange or bad. Tattoos would still definitely still be a big no-no, though.
ОтветитьYOOOOOO!!! I just noticed a MAJOR plot point that Ross missed!!! Okay, so remember when the herbalist witch lady and that ghost told Nick some prophecies? He was told he would be killed by his own dagger! And in the "run off together with the demon-possessed girl" ending Nick states that he sleeps with a knife under his pillow.
NICK CANONICALLY LETS THE DEMON OUT AND IS EVENTUALLY KILLED BY IT!
I dunno Ross, I think I DO want to be with a girl who doesn't care that I have a basement secretly filled with bodies. At the very least, I'm not sure I don't.
Ответитьah yes. i yearly yearn for the depression that is the feeling you get when the halloween decorations are now just tacky clutter on your windows. and its cold but now for no reason.
ОтветитьThe difference between hanged and hung is the same difference between killed and died. That guy wasn't died. He was killed. Why do I know this? Because he was hanged. And after he died he just hung there.
ОтветитьDemons are pricks
ОтветитьI love how much ross is rossing in this one
ОтветитьHow to run this on windows 10?
ОтветитьThat post-credits stinger got me laughing =D
ОтветитьI giggle every time Ross says "the guy who was hung".
ОтветитьI’d drink poison if it meant I didn’t have to interact with any of the psychos in this village.
ОтветитьCool, cool
ОтветитьI wish i lived in a permanent halloween world like in that one movie or that one animie where they are grin reapers but the weapons talk to them and the moon is a spoopy face moon.
ОтветитьI thought the doctor having eyeglasses would be wrong for the time period too, but no I was wrong. They were used in Europe in the thirteenth century
Ответить❤
Ответить"I guess the moral is, if you want a job done right, you don't ask a complete stranger from off the street" xdxd
ОтветитьRoss I want you to know that Halloween was based on a pagan holiday known as Samhain that marks the coming of the dark half of the year, thus spooky season is not technically over on Halloween, but just beginning.
ОтветитьConquest of the Longbow has a setting where you can turn off arcade gameplay. Everyone wins: if you like some action you get the action, and if you don't you can opt out of.
ОтветитьGod that British accent is the worst 🤣
ОтветитьThis might be a stretch but I assume he ties himself up just in case it isn't him that comes back.
ОтветитьThe engine for this was the 3d game studio engine.
