Fans of Celtic music should appreciate it! there is magic, a feeling of closeness of the mysterious, as if the door to the other world has been opened…
ОтветитьMy new favourite song 🎃☔💜🌈
ОтветитьBlessed be to those wild young hearts just beginning their journey; likewise for both woman and man and the aged wise who follow the pagan way. On this night of Samhain, revels honor the last harvest before Winter bids its kingdom to sleep for a time. While I've been forever a seeker (as a sweet young witch named me; oh so many ages ago); though rarely a full believer, you were among those to welcome me into your circle with no reservations. And dues are given to the worthy; in time; but time and people own me not; for The Green Man is forever seeking me as company. (From a Facebook entry I posted; for Halloween 2019) 🌙
ОтветитьMy mom had that album when I was little and she played it all the time. Great memories.
ОтветитьHappy Samhain 🎃🎃🎃
Ответить🎃 The perfect song for Holy Evening 🎃
Ответить❤️
ОтветитьI love this as much today as the first time I heard it.
ОтветитьI 💕💕💕 this
ОтветитьAwesome sound......is it only me who could pick up shades of Harry Chapin 's Cats in the cradle .,..
ОтветитьI may no longer work the craft but even listening to this again after quite a few moons and being how it marks years 2 from when my mother passed...
This song brings back quite some memories...
I use to be Wiccan/Pagan and my late mother supported me with that as she did with all things. Even while listening, I can feel an electricity in my palms and finger tips, my heart flutters, and the maelstrom within my mind is calm. Even to this day, I ever mind the rule of three and I harm none, though...I have alot of pushed down anger & sadness...
I maybe Christian now, but it's because even the beings I worked with agreed Christianity would be a better path for me as I went through quite some turbulent times and it would often merge with the craft and mess up the energy & vibe.
I was never afraid however I respected it too much to let it become a manifestation of my rage.
You cannot work in balance, nature, and healing if your not so within.
Just like with firearms, sometimes all it takes is that one moment of negligence and something will happen that you regret for the rest of your life.
Thank you Lady Loreena.
To this day, I won't be there when someone works the craft because I don't want any negativity effecting them or blackening the good they are trying to do.
I don't know if I'm truly at peace or if I've fallen for my own veil of illusion of peace I've put on for others but the above shows that the 2nd is the case.
I've recently had the urge to work the craft again but...I cant...
I dream of dark entities trying to take me for their own and I will not be their weapon.
It's not always the front doors you gotta worry about, the back doors must also be locked.
I probably forgot to lock one back door...and that's when the watchtowers you put up can faulter.
The first time I casted a circle, The fire I had rised higher and burned hotter, the river smashed against its banks and rushed quicker, the air swirled with energy like a tornado, and the Earth shook.
Looking back, I don't know if it was positive or negative...
It was a Samhain ritual and I was 17 at the time, I started studying at 13 and studied under a high priestess and Pagan Minister.
The instruction was superb and spent some years trying to get in tune with things.
I chose lunar deities mostly.
But in any case.
Thank you for reading my wall of text.
The soul who wrote this song has to thousands of years old
ОтветитьThank You for this. It's so beautiful and enchanting.
ОтветитьThis fits in with St. Patrick's Day well! Happy SPD, 2023!
ОтветитьSuch a wicked song underrated 😂❤
ОтветитьI love the feeling i get when i listen to her songs!
ОтветитьGreat music, great feelings!!
ОтветитьFelicidades!! ❤❤❤saudades!!
ОтветитьAmhrán go h'iontach!
ОтветитьReady yourself heathens for Samhain awaits us.
ОтветитьI just saw her live in concert a few nights ago; you think you understand how talented she is, and then you see her live and realize you had no idea. Loreena is not just a musician, she is a magician and muse. They played this song and it's almost ruined her recorded work for me, she was so incredible live that listening to the recordings feels like clinging to a shadow of brilliance. What a transcendental experience.
ОтветитьFrom the CD
This piece was inspired by the imagery of a Japanese tradition which celebrated the souls of the departed by sending candle-lit lanterns out on waterways leading to the ocean, sometimes in little boats; along with the imagery of the Celtic All Souls Night celebrations, at which time huge bonfires were lit not only to mark the new year, but to warm the souls of the departed --- L.M.
Listening on Samhain
ОтветитьLoreena has always been one of my favourite singers.
ОтветитьLYRICS
Bonfires dot the rolling hillsides
Figures dance around and around
To drums that pulse out echoes of darkness
Moving to the pagan sound
Somewhere in a hidden memory
Images float before my eyes
Of fragrant nights of straw and of bonfires
And dancing till the next sunrise
I can see lights in the distance
Trembling in the dark cloak of night
Candles and lanterns are dancing, dancing
A waltz on All Souls Night
Figures of cornstalks bend in the shadows
Held up tall as the flames leap high
The green knight holds the holly bush
To mark where the old year passes by
I can see the lights in the distance
Trembling in the dark cloak of night
Candles and lanterns are dancing, dancing
A waltz on All Souls Night
Bonfires dot the rolling hillsides
Figures dance around and around
To drums that pulse out echoes of darkness
And moving to the pagan sound
Standing on the bridge that crosses
The river that goes out to the sea
The wind is full of a thousand voices
They pass by the bridge and me
I can see the lights in the distance
Trembling in the dark cloak of night
Candles and lanterns are dancing, dancing
A waltz on All Souls Night
I can see the lights in the distance
Trembling in the dark cloak of night
Candles and lanterns are dancing, dancing
A waltz on All Souls Night
