Black!!
Ответить👍👍👍👍top Arbeit ich freu mich auf das nächste Video
ОтветитьVery satisfying to watch. Looking forward to the finished result.
ОтветитьNice job Del that dry guide coat looks the business never seen that before takes out a lot of the guesswork.
ОтветитьMore lessons learned. I’ve also copied that quote down as that definitely resonates with me. Just assuming, but you seemed to use the sandpaper in your hand on curved areas and on the block in straight areas? Is that correct?
ОтветитьAmazing work once again sir...cant wait to see what color you go with...
ОтветитьI learn so much on this channel👍
ОтветитьLooking like your best prep work to date. Grey n black for a futuristic colour scheme ..Thanks for the entertainment.
ОтветитьYou're right, I've never seen it before! Black ashes from the fireplace?? Just kidding. That's something black disappeared during sanding. Pretty kewl and easier see the smooth results after. How bout painting metal flake charcoal color? More of a darker shade? 👍I look forward to the next show!!!
ОтветитьI always prefer black but now it would be nice to see a bold color like a deep purple.
ОтветитьPerfection as always Del👍🏼
ОтветитьCan't wait to see the paint finished
ОтветитьJust me ,,,,but I use a sanding block always ,,, also I wet sand at first ( cause I hate the dust) , then use that dry guide coat ( it is good ~ ) ALSO , the rattle can used as a guide can react , depending what is going ontop of it ,,( ask me how I know hahahah) so the dry guide is safer imho
ОтветитьHey bud, question: wouldn't it be better do use a block to make sure it's absolutely flat? I know you're not putting any preassure on the sand paper there but I'm thinking that you would potentially add some imperfections with your fingers there... is that the case or am I completely wrong?
ОтветитьDefinitely Del you have a lot patience❤️🇫🇷🏴
ОтветитьRed.... Red is my favorite colour.... But if it can't be that.... Then Tardis Blue!!!!!!
ОтветитьWith all of the goo-ga's stripped off the bike I think white (or possibly pearl) would look great.
Ответить1996 Ford T-Bird 3 stage pearl white.
ОтветитьAh, that point when it goes from dull to shiny and you are just sanding.
ОтветитьGood test on the 'mudguard-guard' (huh?) - & here's me thinking you'd just do 30ft rooster-tails up & down the beach . . .
but I suppose an indoor blast-cabinet is slightly more socially acceptable. Certainly passed with non-flying colours eh?
(I'd be tempted to do the whole bike in it . . . '& what do you ride mate?' . . . 'Oh, a 600lb squash-ball called 'Stealth'.' : )xx
Oh.. sanding, I bet you loved that laborious job , but needed doing, great results and great video 😊
ОтветитьYeah, you know Harley Davidson never took this much care to do it right!
ОтветитьI vote for NOT GREEN.... There are a hundred gumby green bikes with green glow kits driving around my area... they look like glowing boogers.
ОтветитьHiya Penny and Del - great video. You must have patience for all that sanding work - although I am totally aware that a good result depends on good prep, I have trouble putting in the time. You sure don't though... great result and it's clear that you put a ton of work into it. Looking forward to the next steps, and I hope that broken bolt extraction makes it to video!
Take care, dear friends. Be well and ride safe.
Great job as always Del👍
ОтветитьGood video pal, great information all round, great tips on sanding, it pays to do it right first
ОтветитьDragonfly green, with a heavy metal flake, or a candy maroon/deep red color
ОтветитьI have to thank the paint shop for allowing you to take us through this process.
ОтветитьThat under seal looks just the job. I’ve tried many different things over the years, hammerite, various underseals, and where there was a rolled edge on a mudguard I thinned down some waxoyl to penetrate where paint etc wouldn’t go, …but the road usually “won” in the end. I might try some of that stuff you’ve used though. And when it’s finished, that paintwork is going to be something special!
ОтветитьThat's a loud vacuum, sounds like a English Electric Lightning had taxied up to the door!
ОтветитьNice rubbing down del,any ideas on final paint colour???, regards mike,Derbyshire
ОтветитьA snapped bolt on a Harley.... Never!🔩
ОтветитьGreat job, well done. Realy looking forward to seeing it returne from paint.
It'll be something you can be proud of for years to come. Well done lad.
Looking fine as frog's hair split 4 ways! I noticed the spot on the test piece as you were putting it in the blast cabinet and wondered why that one spot stood out. Then, after blasting, I was already looking to see if that place held up, and it was blasted away! Then you let us know that's where you touched it to see if it was dry. How interesting that it stayed together till it dried, but it must have pulled away from the steel... Your Animal Magnetism just pulled that coating right off from its hold on the metal :) It's really good to see that test result! That's some good undercoating!
As far as color, I will just wait and see. Maybe an old fashioned 2 tone with a pin stripe around the different colored panel in the center of the tank?? Teal and White? Or the Lord's favorite motorcycle color... Glossy Black! Who knows??? Now, I am ready to see her all back together!!
Paint it with the same colors as the reds in the bottom half of your sign on the wall.
ОтветитьNice work and attention to the details Del. I just saw a car at the Canadian Tire store last week and had to admire the paint, it was a metal flake, I am guessing candy apple red, wow. Dying to see what your choice is , cheers!
ОтветитьThat powder sure looks handy 🙌🏻
ОтветитьA far cry from the early days of the garage eh Del when it was scrim and Blackfriairs finest matt black aye.
Looking forward to the final result Del. Can't wait 😊
It's a shame HD don't pay so much attention to detail when they charge premium money. Is it a case of "that's near enough" on their part ?
ОтветитьBlack please
ОтветитьAwesome quality job as usual Del! Thanks for all your hard work and dedication making this series of videos! Ride safe wind brothers/sisters! ❤️
ОтветитьLookin' at the Delboys banner, a deep maroon fading into black might be nice. . . .
ОтветитьWhat colour, probably black is my guess.
ОтветитьBest part of a bike to spray up? The tank. Worst part to rub down? The tank. Just my view. Nice job on this mate.
ОтветитьThat undercoating is really impressive. The first I've seen a dry guidecoat. There is no other place where you can learn so much ! And if all that isn't enough...another great White Board Quote. Great stuff as always Del and Penny. ❤👍👍
ОтветитьThe resillience of that underseal is amazing 👌
ОтветитьThank you so much we are excited for the final result, I checked out some old videos of yours that I missed watching, I saw that you were putting a back guard, I searched everywhere and everyone was saying that you can't fit a back guard on a Heritage that has the mufflers on one side, can you help me find a suitable back guard for a Heritage that has the mufflers on one side? ❤
