ОтветитьLoved this video. Between you and Matt's video I'm really feeling the NES this holiday season. It's truly amazing how many of us were touched by the same games as a kid. Good times. Great video. Merry Christmas Mike.
ОтветитьDoggy!! he's sooo cute <3
ОтветитьLove this channel!!
ОтветитьAHHH THOSE CHRISTMAS VACATION GLASSES
ОтветитьGreat video Mike, in the Zelda part what is that version of the zelda them, it sound so cool
ОтветитьGreat episode Mike, and you most certainly had a nice selection of titles over the years for Christmas.
Unfortunately I never received any consoles or games for Christmas, but I will say my parents did buy me an early programming book and my father went halves with me in my first computer. Plus I had heaps of construction based toys growing up, both of these things have turned me into the programmer, rather than game player I am today.
Christmas videos! Love it, this holiday I didn't really get video games but hey there is always next year and of course like this video the memories.
ОтветитьDid you get Mega Man 3, TMNT II, and Double Dragon II all on Christmas 1990? Me too!
ОтветитьI got my NES on December 25 1989. I was 8 and the only games I ever had where Super Mario Bros/ Duck Hunt, Batman, Skate or Die, King of Kings, Ninja Turtles, and Super Mario Bros 3. Then I sold it all to get a SNES in November of 92. Maybe I will make my on video game channel one day and talk about that!
ОтветитьMy Brother and Me had, RYGAR, MARIO/DUCK HUNT, BART VS. THE SPACE MUTANTS and MEGAMAN 2 as our first bunch of NES games.
ОтветитьByway, now there's is the name of a store I haven't heard in years. We had one close to our house as a kid, used to go their all the time...wish they had NES games when I went lol.
ОтветитьYa my childhood nes games were realy odd like when i got my NES I got it i febuary 1986 when it was still very brand new and we got the boxed rob set with duck hunt and gyromite. We actually had a 2600 earlier and we sold it to get a few games so we had enough cash to get 6 games and they were super mario bros, hogans alley, excitebike, golf (for my dad), 10 yard fight (also for my dad) and donkey kong jr math (thanks mom). So we pretty much ditched donkey kong jr math as it sucked and well we didnt like math but we played the heck out of super mario bros, duck hunt, hogans alley, and 10 yard fight we werent much for golf and we actually loved our R.O.B and used it a lot. Then about i would say 5 months later we got a game randomly form my mom and we honestly thought it was gonna be anothe rmath game or something so weren't to excited to see what it was balloon fight and we pooped it in and I got addicted to that game pretty quick and then for my birthdya she i got 2 games from my parents and 1 form my grandparents those being Commando, Donkey Kong and Chubby Cherub (didnt like it but I am amazed that it is rare now). Then Christmas came up that year and we only got 2 nes games thise being ghost and Goblins and Gradius and those were both awesome. Then the next year I wanted a wrestling game really really bad as I loved wrestling so I asked for a wrestling game and she brought me back the one and only.... muscle (thanks mom). Then I had a big test that I worked al week for and my mom rewarded me with a game of my choice at our local game store I looked at all the games and picked up Elevator action and it wasnt a bad game but I really liked it in the arcades but was a bit dissapointed of the port to the nes. Then after that this is what I would always get wrestling toys, tmnt (later on), transformers and nes games. So throughout the rest of the great eyars of the NES I had gotten tmnt 1, and 2, castlevania, Popeye, Kid Icarus, Mega man 2, Super mario bros 2, and 3, Lunar Pool (for my dad), Mike tysons punch out, Boulder dash, slalom, Volleyball, top gun, anticipation, blades of steel, wizardry, contra, defender 2, Fighting golf, and I think we also had paper boy, othello, metal gear, robocop and platoon. But ya loved the nes and still have all my games form when I was a kid. NES brought great memories.
ОтветитьThat's funny, when I was a kid I got tmnt, and smb2 for xmas.
ОтветитьEveryone who grew up with the NES had a few crap games in their library since there was no way of knowing any better.
But I'm grateful for that crap, because it made the actual good games feel so much better. I still own some pretty bad games, just because I had them as a kid and they still mean something to me.
AVGN HAPPY CONSOLE GAMER MIKE B ARE THE BEST
Ответитьlove the intro!! one of your best vids yet!
ОтветитьRBI Baseball was my FIRST NES game, and it's now RBI 15 is my favourite sports game to play as an adult!
ОтветитьGreat video. Enjoyed the memories. Super Mario Bros 3 overrated though? Nah.
ОтветитьMy first nes game was Jurassic park but I just got it to days ago
ОтветитьMan, you were a lucky little dude, lots of good games. :)
Ответитьi really enjoyed this. can you make the same thing but with super Nintendo?
ОтветитьI borrowed Mega Man 3 of a classmate in the early 90's. Just for a few days. I would think from friday up to sunday I finished five bosses.. Hard, Top, Snake, Needle and Spark. He wanted the game back quite quickly so I went to his house and right after that he moved far away. I am not sure he even came back to school at all. I have never seen him since though I contacted him via Facebook many years later. He didn't seem to remember much about me or at all which is a shame because he was a very nice guy as a kid. Glady that don't take away the fact that I can't play or hear the music of Mega Man 3 without thinking about him or well.. The kid version of him. A dear memory for me!
ОтветитьWow! you were one of the lucky kids who got the Tengen version of Tetris. That's so cool. I bet you were really grateful finding out later that it's now a pretty rare game
ОтветитьIron sword lmao I feel your pain I was thinking that same thing when I was watching the game play video just to see what the rest of the game looks like..... I am glad I am not the only one who thinks that
ОтветитьGood guy Joey <3
Ответитьwtf is Mary-o?
Ответитьhey this is Joey. Is that the same Zelda I gave you???
ОтветитьBoy It is so easy to master the spin move just press b and a at the same time
ОтветитьGood video like always
Ответитьmario 2 was my first NES game too, absolutely loved it :)
ОтветитьHere are the nes games I owned as a kid: Super Mario Bros/ Duck Hunt, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Hogans Alley, Gyromite and ROB, Dr.Jekkl and Mr.Hyde, Beetlejuice, The Lengend of Zelda, 10 yard fight, Pro Wrestiling, I also owned Dragon Warrior, Castlevania, Rambo,Rockin Kats, Super Mario Bros. 3,Golf, Donkey Kong Classics, Castlevania 2, Double Dragon, Contra,Blaster Master, Super C, Festers Quest, Adventure Island, and a boy and his blob. Since I lived in New York I had the NES since the test run in New York. I was 14 and my dada wouldn't buy it for me so I saved up for it and I think it was definitely worth it because otherwise I would have never got it ( well other than Christmas but seriously who would wait that long). I had my nes all the way through college and it's probably somewhere in my parents house in their attic because they never moved PS I bought over half of these. I was a waiter and I made a lot of money and I spent all that on NES games. I never got a Super Nintendo or N64 though.

ОтветитьLots of 2’s in this video.
ОтветитьWhy did he say "merry-o" and then, right after that, say Mario, the normal way?
ОтветитьI'll never forget getting donkey kong country on Christmas Eve of 94. It was the first game I really wanted at Christmas time. I also got tmnt on nes one year. I don't think it's as hard as people say. I can get to the room before shredder, and I don't consider myself "hardcore."
ОтветитьMy list: Dragon Warrior, The Bard's Tale, Final Fantasy, Super Mario Brothers, Duck Hunt, World Class Track Meet, Ninja Gaiden, TNMT, Heroes of the Lance, The Guardian Legend.
ОтветитьThat was cool of Joey.
ОтветитьBig love for Air Fortress. We also got that one as kids. Too hard to beat for a chump like myself, but such a unique atmosphere.
ОтветитьThe only video game that I love is pacman. I'm 37 years old and still love playing it. Very addicting and a masterpiece/classic.
ОтветитьAwesome seeing you drink Scotsburn, I work for Saputo. Nice seeing you support our products.
