Do you know how these proposed changes will affect social security payments to expats? Will they also be free from taxation? Thanks.

Seems like there is much opportunity for rural America to create many products at a lower cost than foreign or rust belt enterprises. Price war is always good for the consumer. If any country could thrive in a situation with high tariffs it would be the USA where most all resources to create anything and feed anyone can be found in its borders.

Like your explanation, just subscribed. I am mobility challenged I can walk some but have had bad knees since an infant. Being an expat is intriguing but most roads and sidewalks I see are in bad shape outside the US. Cobblestones in Europe, Stairs everywhere without ada ramps, and the sidewalks in Mexico..Forgetaboutit. So this may only be an exercise of the mind but I am into crypto and having access outside the US jurisdiction would be beneficial.

He's removing the IRS as a whole. He's whittling it away little by little. The rich don't pay taxes and they don't spend their wealth. Consumers pay their taxes.
Expats pay taxes but get tax credit for the services you don't use. Removing the taxes you'll have to pay for the services you do use, Just without going through the IRS.
You can buy your own coffee with that ad revenue. 60% of Americans living in the US don't have 1000 in the bank for emergencies.

I wish President Trump would also utilize lessing Medicare costs by restructuring allowing seniors to take advantage of medical care outside of the US and using some form of subsidy to pay for care which is much more economical. This would also lessen the costs to the Medicare system. There are other benefits, I believe, that helping seniors relocate, would be benefical to the US as well as allowing many seniors to live comfortably in their last years.

No it's not an incentive to leave, most countries will impose a higher total tax burden than the US. I've been an Expat in Europe all my life, e.g. gas, petrol cost $8.50 gallon here, 50% is tax.

I agree. The US health care system is very broken. Like big pharm,, so be it doctors, insurance companies, or any other medically related industry, greed has far surpassed regard for human care. We all have seen this coming for decades. Unfortunately, greed in all areas of life is the norm. There are the elite and the rest of us. The system needs a major overhaul or there will be a global new world order. I don't think one needs to be a rocket scientist to figure this out. Personally, I truly don't know the answer to the problem and I also know that no one person does have the answer. We can only pray that all of those in power will seek to right things.

I lived outside the US for six years. Just came home 14 months ago. Have been disappointed and shocked at how much the US has changed. As a senior, the medical care since returning has been so incredibly poor as well as blatantly insulting. I pay for Medicare B in addition to the best supplemental insurance available. The care and cost, which was out-of-pocket and very affordable while outside the US was far superior to the care I have received since returning. Seniors, unless wealthy, are now regarded as useless, and not even worthy of the benefits earned working most of their lives. In the countries I have spent time in, seniors are still treated with dignity and respect. What does this say about America? Side note, I was required to have passport, have security clearance and pay all required fees to enter other countries. I was not greeted by customs who did not check all requirements were met and then offered free accommodations, food, medical care and transportation as are others entering the US. There is something very wrong with this picture.

Hey Scott, good introduction to tariffs. Looking through the comments I really feel that most folks only look at one side of things. It is true that prices would go up on IMPORTED products. Most of what folks consume as an imported products don’t cost much anyway, so a 60% tariff on a $10 product, which would drive the price up to $13.60. Yeah, I get it…it costs more. So buy American made products instead…help out Americans instead of other countries. The other point I’d like to make is the Billions of tax payer funds that are sucked up each year funding the IRS and the Billions of dollars Americans spend each year filing taxes, money we spend on tax attorneys to represent us in audits, and funding weapons for IRS agents. America had a very successful tariff system prior to the scrapping it for the IRS. People, just keep in mind change is hard…we owe it to ourselves to give it a chance. God knows it isn’t working for anyone but the government now. 😢

I am 12 minutes into your video and you have not provided a single concrete change that Trump is planning to benefit expats. By the way, tariffs are not beneficial to expats doing business, so your reading of the political trend is incorrect. The title of this video is a lie, and you have wasted my time ✌️
