NEW PERFUMES ; HITS AND MISSES (SOME WERE BIG SURPRISES) | #perfume

I bought a bottle of Kate Spade Sparkle awhile back, didn't think I liked it. But, I kept it, hoping the maceration would improve it or bring forward notes I can relate to. Because you have raved about it more than once, I paused this video, went to my perfume collection and sprayed it generously. It is growing on me now, I think, smells more "rounded", other notes have come out to play, so I guess her long rest did her good, LOL. Strange how that happens! Sol cheirosa 71 smells like breakfast cereals to me! People get popcorn caramel or macadamia… I just get cereal 😂 I try it a few times a year to see if it’ll change

Great video. The description you gave of Academia really has me intrigued. The dark library and stewed fruits sound good lol. It sounds like the perfect Halloween perfume. I also want to try Kate Spade Sparkle. I have the original strawberry one and enjoy it. I remember seeing Sparkle at TJ Max last year and almost getting it and now I wish I had. Hi Chris. Love your videos. It seems you've got a great nose for perfume. If anyone asked me to describe any of the perfumes that I wear all I'd be capable of saying is "it smells sweet, or floral or clean". Beyond that, I'd be lost for words. Don't know how you pick out all the different notes in a perfume. I'd love to try the Goldfield and Banks fragrance.

Dusita is becoming one of my favourite houses. I recently picked up Le Sillage Blanc… my preferred green chypre. I also recently added Nishane Nanshe and I’m loving it. Wore it the last 2 days.

I’d be interested in the Academia one that sounds amazing! I’ve been in love with the Prada La Femme for a long time and have almost picked up the Intense so many times, I think I’m going to have to go ahead and grab it.

I think the culprit note that give mothballs is the chestnut! I had the discontinued orchid Soleil by Tom Ford which also had a chestnut note! In the opening boom mothballs all over and then it died out to a beautiful warm floral. I have ti admit tho I liked the short opening of the mothballs 🤣🤣🤣 so nostalgic as my grandparents used to use them ☺️

Chris, I went down to Houston today to visit an old friend, and we went to the Galleria to smell some hard to find fragrances that you have recommended. Specifically, those from Dries van Noten and Christian Loubitan. Oh my goodness, we fell in love with Soie Malaquais and Loubidoo! Holy smokes those were good! Thank you for the recs! (Also picked up Rise n Shine and love it.)
Totally agree with you on the watered down raspberry lemonade of Smile. That was a let down. I have a sample of Akro Glow on the way. Love your channel!

Thanks for the video! I really appreciate all of the hard work you put into these videos. I have tried most of the Goldfield & Banks perfumes and really like most of the one's I've tried. But Mystic Bliss is one that I haven't tried. But it sounds like something my husband would enjoy since he really likes fougere style and fragrances with mint. So please enter me in the giveaway.

I’ve purchased two fragrances by Ormaie that are great : 18-12 and le Passant. Their Tableau Parisien is also stunning (spicy tuberose).

And I can’t wait to try Pour Rêver by Maison Violet.. they craft amazing powdery type fragrances and this will be their first take on a gourmand..

I just bought Academia. I'm not sure if mine needs to age but I do not love it. I want to return it but also want to give it a second chance. I'm so unsure about it. The notes are ones I would normally love!

Great content as always. Fell in love with fig note last year…..especially rainy days. Count me in for Fougere. My hit this month is Casablanca layered with Al Oud Intense (By the Fireplace dupe). The miss this month has got to be “Unspoken” by Catherine Malagrino (spelling?). What a disaster. A cacophony of different notes with a heavy dose of coconut on top. Nothing matches. Yuk! I wanted another “Unspoken” and got the wrong one. Live and learn. Always good to see you.
