You had me in plugging in a blender😂
ОтветитьAll these features for a Korean car...makes me guess which one will go first
Ответить50K for a Hyundai is a absolutely crazy
Ответитьwould be interesting to get some safety overview/rating.
Same about audio system quality.
I just bought the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Caligraphy top trim (Canadian model) I've notice the infotainment system is laggy . The gps map is ok but i can't find an option to avoid pay toll roads. When i compare the same route to google maps on my phone.. sometimes google maps selects the more efficient route. Is there a SD memory slot for the Santa Fe? Maybe its the data usb port? Im really hoping Hyundai will do over the air updates and eliminate the 'lagyyness' and improve the map
ОтветитьIn what world is the Santa Fe compact and this midsize lmao
ОтветитьReliability scares me
ОтветитьYou need some prozac asap 🙈
ОтветитьI used to live in the Netherlands and a lot of people there think that a Toyota Corolla is "too big" for them. Having a car the size of the Palisade would be considered mental retardation 😂😂
ОтветитьI’m hearing of recent transmission issues on Palisades and Tellurides…..
Ответитьthe massaging type is shown on the screen, you can pick lumbar, pelvic or full body, it must have been fixed since your review
Ответить"mid sized" ?
ОтветитьI can't tell if he was joking, but just to be clear you cannot run a blender off of a 150 watt outlet :)
ОтветитьHire a voice coach. You sound like the Riddler.
ОтветитьThe lights being that low are just waiting to be hit
ОтветитьWe got a 2023 calligraphy have now around 22k miles after a year of owning it. We really like it but as always there is some room for improvements. We travel a lot at night and a big thing is there is no 3rd row light. There is a trunk light but thats not the same and the kids always complain. Also there is no light in the centre console. Love all the futures but I did notice when going through smaller turns and you stay on the gas the car seems to stutter a little bit I even tried it in a parking lot but its not as noticeable not sure if its the all wheel drive or something else. Fuel consumption is not the greates but alright for a big car like that. The trunk is not very big especially if you have little kids and need to take a stroller with you. We open the "hidden storage" and just leave it open to have more trunk space. We also have a thule roofbox so it makes traveling a lot easier if you have a bunch of stuff you want to take.
ОтветитьDid they fix the engine problem where it burns oil why too fast.
ОтветитьI'm surprised Doug didn't mention it but that self driving feature was first debuted on the Genesis GV80 a couple years ago.
ОтветитьI understand that you've gotta take what they give you to review, Doug. But I sure as heck wish auto makers would stop giving out press vehicles with these depressing black-on-black-on-black-on-black interiors. I know a lot of people like them, but all that black makes it difficult to see the nuances in the interior styling. I have a very hard time appreciating any of the hard work that went into designing an interior when everything is black. Plus (IMHO) they feel like how I'd imagine it would being inside a closed coffin.
ОтветитьUgly af
ОтветитьBruh, The Hyundai Palisade looks like a Mitsubishi Outlander
ОтветитьOnce, I fell asleep fully dressed with my keys in my pocket. I woke up hours later and found that in rolling over various times, I had activated one of the buttons on the fob, and my car, in the garage, had responded. If that had been an "engine on" button, or even a "forward" button following that ...? I prefer the old-fashioned hands-only approach to things. And I do not want to take my eyes off the freeway at 80mph to look at an infotainment screen and fiddle with the ambient lighting and seat massage. (Is it still OK to type "Darn!"?)
ОтветитьIm driving one now as a rental. It's all bing with no basics, It has loads of features and luxury looking interior but it drives like someone shoved a set of wheels under a brick shithouse.
of course being a rental its also possible that it's just really fucked up from people abusing it for the past 40k miles so not really a fair review tbh.
Interior looks cheap. Resale is crap. Buy something else.
ОтветитьHyundai just told me that the loss 1quart of oil per 1k is normal. I'm 50 years old and have a bunch of cars.
I've never heard of this. So services are every 7k miles. That means by the time I get the next service done I would be complicit of oil!! People thinking of buying Hyundai please do your homework.
The only thing I don't like about this palisade is its interior, too common with just one color, comparing it to the toyota highlander, palisade interior look just like a toyota corolla
ОтветитьThe only downside is that it’s a Hyundai 🤣
Ответитьthe amount of ads is CRAAAZY.
ОтветитьMoving the car forward out of a tight spot is the ONLY reason I use Summon in the Tesla. This is all it's good for, nothing else. Hyundai is better because it's on a key-fob (well tie-break since you have to 'Start' it and not the Tesla)... We still went with the 2024 Telluride. Impressive vehicles these are.
ОтветитьHyundai should put turn signals in the up portion of the cars like in this vehicle in India also. most of their turn signal lights are below the grill side which makes it very difficult to see even if the turn ligh is on.
ОтветитьEverything this fool dislikes I appreciate 🤦♂️
ОтветитьSo many great things about this vehicle. But I will never again own a straight ICE vehicle. Don't want a Plug In hybrid, or a straight EV yet either.
ОтветитьAs always great review. Love the Casey Moore's t-shirt. Truly a hidden gem.
ОтветитьDon't buy any vehicles from Kia or Hyundai .South Korea still barbecues dogs....
ОтветитьHousehold outlets are great for pumping mamas
ОтветитьAnother dougism. Guess we don't know about Hyundai configure option, Auto unlock front driver, front, or front and back. "quirks and inaccuracies" as usual
ОтветитьThe whole dashboard looks absolutely crappy along with the "more" luxurious wheel. Yikes!
ОтветитьThe Santa Fe Hybrid Limited has a panoramic sunroom with the front portion actually opening.
ОтветитьDoug, the map screen you see when you turn on the car and do not show anything on the entertainment screen, is a funtional map. If you keep driving you will notice the lines (representing the roads) change.
ОтветитьI use the smart park feature on a daily basis. (1) I use it to get out of situations where the car next to me is too closely parked (2) to get into a parking space that has water accumulation and thereby ensuring that no other car will park next to my car. BTW, I have a Hyunday Santa Fe Hybrid Limited which comes with the Smart Park feature.
Ответитьmidsize :D
ОтветитьLove the headlights, it's nice that somebody is making the choice not to blind people who choose to drive reasonably-sized cars.
ОтветитьThat grill is too much. I'd like it allot if it were just the first few rows of squares starting at the top, but it looks like a checkerboard.
ОтветитьI’ve seen these in light off-road conditions, their 4x4 systems are NOT for off pavement, mud or snow. Sure, might work, but the wheel slippage and lack of control is scary. I love them, almost bought one more than once, just know to be very cautious when off road, gravely steep roads, etc. 😊
ОтветитьIs this better than the Kia?
ОтветитьDoug, how bad is the wind noise above 45 mph? I would like to buy one but lots of people complaining about wind noise on driver and passenger window. I wonder if this is a design error due to mirrors!
ОтветитьHorribly huge center console! Get rid of it!
ОтветитьRespect and props to Korean automakers for keeping physical buttons and even finishing them in a nice way!
ОтветитьHow is that steering wheel better? The old one is way better looking
