Good. She was responsible for these live rounds. Baldwin got off because of an incompetent prosecutor, but he should have been held accountable for not checking the weapon.

It's all just one huge scam in that they never intended on holding Baldwin accountable on any level and had no intentions of him ever actually being brought to trial.
So, the source of the dummy rounds may have been the source of the live rounds and thus, Hannah was not to blame.

Baldwin's negligence wasn't dependent on Hannah alone, it was dependent on him being the one that pointed a firearm at someone and killing her. If the source of the dummy rounds was the source for the live ammunition, then it turns into Baldwin still used the gun and pulled the trigger, but they now have to indict a 3rd person.
Suddenly, they have evidence that shows the live ammunition may have come from a 3rd party and this is how Baldwin got a dismissal with prejudice?!
It's all so obviously rigged.
They bribed the judge which is why he mouthed off to Hannah like a little prick; to cover his own ass.

Special prosecutor has made a fool of this judge. The judge has kept letting her get away with breach after breach of the rules. Chance after chance and only when just how bad she has behaved was shown up in the Baldwin case did the judge finally stand up to her and dismiss that case. Now we’re back to the special prosecutor pushing the judge around again. It’s embarrassing. There wasn’t ever a proper investigation, the police hid evidence and believed whatever Seth Kenney chose to spoon feed them. The level of police corruption is ridiculous and they are continually allowed to get away with it.

The way balloons getting off I would say there’s no difference. She should get a new trial. That’s a double standard.

I feel there is more to her and this story. She had a large black crow tattoo on her arm before the shooting and referred to the movie “The Crow” several times on camera. If you dont know how Brandon Lee died on that movie research it. She can at least do the little jail time she was given… she needs longer IMO

Once again, America's Justice System has proven to be corrupt as Hannah Gutierrez Reid is used as the "Fall Girl" for an accidental death while a wealthy actor and producer like Alec Baldwin gets away with it.

The ruling is also biased as the Judge who presided over her trial, Justice Mary Marlowe Sommer, made a decision about her appeal.

In any other country, a judge that presided over a trial cannot do the same with appeals.

As a result of New Mexico's biased Justice system where a same Judge can preside over a trial or appeal, Hannah Gutierrez Reid is denied a fair trial.

If a different judge presided over the appeal, it will be a different story.

Let's hope Hannah Gutierrez Reid appeals Justice Sommer's ruling to a higher court, and Justice Sommer is not allowed to preside over it in order to maintain fair Justice and impartiality.

Hannahs ex boyfriend died because she gave him the keys to her motorcycle after his would not start dew to the court ordered breathalyzer that he blew into on his bike locked the ignition. He crashed Hannahs bike, was killed instantly. Autopsy showed his blood alcohol level twice the legal limit.
After the incident on the set of Rust she tried getting rid of a large bag of cocaine. That was the tampering with evidence charge that the state brought against her that she was found not guilty of. According to numerous witnesses from the set, she was a heavy drinker, cocaine user, and heavy pot smoker.
In my opinion she deserves a lot more time than the judge gave her.

"Real emotion" from the bench is exactly why she deserves a new trial.

Most people commenting on this are so ignorant! Hannah was NOT the person that handed the pistol to Baldwin and declared it was "cold." So ANYONE on that set could have tampered with that pistol!

Baldwin needs to be in prison too!!!

The judge was 100% wrong.
Baldwin wanted to be the life of the party and make a joke that would make everybody laugh with insane glee.
Even so a prop cartridge is the same as a real cartridge except it has a cardboard wad instead of a slug, the wad is still a projectile capable of causing great pain and breaking the skin at close range. This wad would have hurt like hell.
Baldwin felt it was worth the laugh and he caused Hutchinson he life.
How can Gutierrez be 100% at fault when Baldwin, ignoring gun etiquette to never point or play with a firearm point a gun knowing the wad would hurt her be exonerated from any fault at all.
Baldwin was 100% at fault for killing this woman.

You'd think that a retrial being granted could easily be a means of reassuring that only fully ethical practices are being carried out by the prosecution. The whole "oh well it wouldn't have made a difference anyways" (speculatively speaking that is) is such an obvious "don't give a crud" response and reflective attitude for that matter. Especially if this is something that the prosecution should've known better in regards to.

Why don’t war or gangster movies have accidents like this? Imagine they fire thousand of rounds and never heard of any shooting mishaps. How do they account for each of those shots? How many armorers are there for those movies?

Is there no footage of the judge saying they won't entertain the release or is it just a statement in writing?
