Hello, I would like to give everyone some tips. I just got my score today. And i was at the limit (180 grade C). It doesn’t really matter as long as i passed. Please be aware of your time. I have to admit that I ran out of time at reading, I spent to much time reading and got stuck at the part with paragraphs. Also, listening got me low score, i don’t know why, I probably didn’t pay enough attention to it. In conclusion be aware of your time and pay attention. The exam is not really hard but everything depends on you!

My exam is in one week,and I'm freaked out. I've done many past papers this month. Only this month. But I've been scoring 90-100% on everything but writing. I always get 70-80%,rarely do I score 85% and up. I'm so nervous. I have high standards for myself. What's worse is that my partner scored 185/190.. something unachievable for me-yet the score I dream of.

I didn't even know about the CAE exam when my teacher asked who'd like to take it. I couldn't prepare all too much, because I was in the 13th grade at a German school being bombarded with other stuff to study and prepare all the time. I also signed up for the exam hesitantly on the last day my teacher would give us the chance to do so. At least, I bought the book, but I almost failed. It was tough because the exam took place on two Saturdays right after five brutal school days. However, the first Saturday, it was the "Speaking" part that I passed with "exceptional". And I could have gotten a first girlfriend if I had been courageous enough to make the right move on my test partner. She revealed much too late to me that I was right about her being interested in me at that time. Now, I'm almost 32, and I still haven't really had a girlfriend. Well, enough of that!
But yeah, the way they invaded our school was not really fair, in my opinion. To my knowledge, I was the only one who bought the book because nobody really knew how serious this was.

By the way, it was a complete waste of money, energy and more, even though I passed. I'm aiming to become a professional translator and interpreter anyways, which, according to the Institute of Foreign Languages, automatically equates to being on level C2.
