WearMask: face mask detection model that can recognize correctly applied face mask and respirators

WearMask is the core part of face mask detection solution https://l2-labs.com/product/wearmask-mobile-application that was trained to recognize if the mask or respirators are applied correctly i.e. mouth and nose are fully covered with that type of Personal Protective Equipment.

Masks and other PPE become one of the most important things nowadays. L2-labs is proud to release PPE Mask neural network recognition model free of charge for non-commercial organisations to help more efficient enforcement of social distancing and healthy practices in the new reality.

WearMask model was trained on a large dataset of diverse samples in various scenarios and use cases. It detects presence of facial personal protective equipment on a human head. List of PPE supported by WearMask includes facial masks (both hand made and chirurgical), respirators (N95, FFP, FFP2, FFP2) and others means to cover mouth and nosal areas.
