honestly i think the cat was doing something bed related with elderly humans then using them for something disturbing that explains jerrys reactions now that the cat knows his elderly parents he wanted to protect them but then rick wiped his memory BOOM still just my theory tough

The cat has the same colored eyes as the hive mind unity. Rick loved unity so after finding out what tge cat was he almost killed himself but still wanted to needed to remember Jerry knew about unity so he wanted to remember someone needed to know.
