I haven’t watched professional wrestling in decades but I remember watching this match like it was yesterday!

This is the most hardcore and brutal HIAC match ever in my opinion. ATTITUDE ERA IS ON 🔥 THESE OLD DAYS

Remember Mick Foley is a God signs?!.... Mick Foley made losing an art form...the dedication from his craft made people love him so much. hell in a cell, rock's 11 chair headshots, pedigreed his face to thumbtacks....off all the stars in the attitude era his matches are the most memorable ones

This reminds me of the time in 1998 when kane’s brother threw mankind off the hell in a cell into a Spanish announce table

I will always know Mick as Cactus Jack, first I ever saw of him.

Mick was my absolute favorite as a kid. Number one favorite. Idk what it was about his devotion to the craft but it stood out to me over everyone else's once I first saw him.

this was one hell of a match.

before the match I was a big undertaker fan.

after the match I became a huge mick foley fan

Two absolute LEGENDS. Both incredible, unforgettable, phenomenal performers! This is one of the greatest if not the greatest wrestling match in history.

And both men, Mark, and Mick, are incredible outside of the ring.

I hope these guys got to feel some of the magic we got to feel watching this as kids. The older I get the more my body hurts. I can't imagine putting yourself through this at their ages at the time. All so we could feel the magic.

What’s genius about this is that it’s fake. Most people think that if you fake a fight it will be easier than a real fight but they fake fight and make it worse. It’s perfect comedy. You have people screaming that the wrestling is fake it looks like they’re trying harder to lie about it. “If it was fake than would in do this?” It messes with your head on what’s fake. It’s like if they actually started murdering people in the ring. JUST ADMIT THAT YOUR LYING AND ITS FAKR MAN. JUST COME CLEAN. THE LIE IS OUT OF CONTROL. YOU HAVE TO STOP LYING PEOPLE ARE GETTING HURT.

Hahahahahaha I love the ending. Foley came out later to help Kane and the whole crowd didn't even cheer, they were just concerned for Mick hahaha

Watching that match live and then having it also in VHS for me and now seeing it on here. Reminds me of the good old days. I respect all the wrestlers from back then. Nothing to me compares to that match these days and also I doubt you would even see anything like that match theses days to.

What these 2 men did that night is legend. I have shown my kids and explained that, if you love your job you put it all on the line.
These 2 guys are wrestling. No other fight feels like this one. No other 2 wrestlers have come close to this fight, they have tried but will always fail. Mick and the undertaker were underappreciated, both were the franchise players that made WWF the greatest show on earth at the time!

I watched this live for my 13th birthday and it had such a visceral emotional effect on me that to this day I can’t almost remember what the couch felt like that I was sitting on while watching it….its one of my most vivid memories I have and I’m almost 40.

Thank God these 2 legends are still with us.

Watching this in 2024 at 40, remember watching it in 1998 at 14 and thinking it was the most awesome match ever.

I swear, Mick Foley is some sort of example of reverse CTE; considering the amount of head trauma he's endured over his career, it's astonishing how coherent, articulate, and intelligent he continues to be.

Mick foley is an absolute madman he is 100% a legend and I hope people look ag his work outside this match and see how amazing he was

We all know it's fake rehearsed scripted but we all watched as if it were real I remember this match I was never a huge wrestling fan but I watched this probably 2 maybe 3 in my whole life.
