That method actually works. I mean u can visit ur data even when ur pc is off
ОтветитьThanks!
Hillary.

ОтветитьHard drive is metal and it leach into the water of your fish tank. So, yes...it is harmful.
Ответитьno need, just tale the cover off and shatter the platters
Ответитьwont the fish be electrocuted ???
ОтветитьÝyyyyyyyyyyyyyýýyyyyýyyyyyyyyýyyyyýyýyyyyyýyýýýýyyyyyýýýyýyyýýyýýýyýyyyyýýýyýyyýyýýyyýýyyyýyýyýýýyýyyyýýyýyyýyyyyyyýýýyyýýyýýýýyýýýyýýyyýyýyyyýýýýyýýýýýyýýyyyýýýýýyyýýýýýýýyýýýýýýýýýýýýýýyýýyýý
ОтветитьJust format it 7 time's, we have enough problems with the environment with out us adding our crap to it!
ОтветитьAbout the first truths this fake news has told all year....
Ответитьguys... just get the PCB out of it, no one can access your data without your unique ROM chip ... my god the ignorance ...
ОтветитьWhy terrorize the poor fish?
ОтветитьHello
I hid my hard drive I a waterproof Wallet and I made a fire forgetting it was there .
The technician said the platters look ok but I’m worried .
Can I what’s app you my pics ...
reported for animal cruelty. putting that harddrive in with that betta fish was highly inappropriate.
Ответитьwhat about slamming it with a pickaxe or ice axe? seems like it's the same concept as the hammer except with a pointed tip.
ОтветитьWhats the point of destroying them when you can just reformat them
ОтветитьI often put the hard drive in a bucket of water for an hour, Then drill it.
ОтветитьWouldn't soak it in water until it corrodes work?
Ответитьall u have to do is remove the disc. WTh going on here !!
ОтветитьThis is just not true ... erasing an old drive the correct way which is available to all windows versions and mac is a 100% safe way to protect your data on drives that are destined to either be sold, given, or decommissioned. There are two options when formatting a drive 1. Long Format 2. Short Format. The short format is NOT secure. However the Long Format IS SECURE and will absolutely securely erase the data on the device. Simply deleting the data using the delete command is NOT secure, it must be long formatted in order to be SECURE.
ОтветитьYou can keep your data safe on a hard drive by locking your hard drive up in a safe and encrypting the password on your computer so no one can see it in access your data
ОтветитьJust use a program to fully erase the data? It goes through everything and clears the data. Nothing is recoverable. And it can be re used.
ОтветитьI read that you shouldn't burn the hard drive. The fumes are toxic
ОтветитьThere is no need to destroy your hard drive, on windows 7 and newer open command prompt/power shel admin and do the following commands:
diskpart
list disk
select(disk you want to wipe)
clean all
More secure then smashing your hard drive since it long formats and rewrites every single bite
Hillary Clinton email.
ОтветитьIf you put a hard drive in water for long enough, the data will not be recoverable.
ОтветитьBut isn't there some data which stays persistent in the motherboard and ram.
ОтветитьI can hear Peta in comments without even reading them.
ОтветитьAll you have to do is get a program that totally overwrites the data on the drive and do that a couple times.
ОтветитьI was so worried about your beautiful betta fish:)
ОтветитьWhy do people like drilling Hard Drives so much? Maybe it's just me but i never bought a drill in my whole life
Not everyone have a drill machine, but everyone have something in common: fire. Just DBAN the disk and then burn it
I trust fire more than a hole anyways
Toxic metal
ОтветитьI could have ised those hard rives :(((
ОтветитьPartition Assistant
ОтветитьI did. this and buried it in my backyard 😅
ОтветитьI work in IT in the security side, for my personal drives this is what i do
1. Take drive apart and remove the disk platter and i break it apart either with my drill press or some other means. The key is breaking it to multiple pieces
2. I have a fire bit in my backyard. I submerged them in boiling salt water for an hour. The heat and combination with the salt eats up the disk.
3. This allows data destruction to be done at home without visiting say a junkyard or some places that shreds metal.
A whack with a hammer actually works on many 2.5" drives (HDD) as I've found that many of those drives use a glass platter coated with a magnetic layer instead of metal. I like using the ball end of a 32oz ball pein hammer myself on those.
ОтветитьErase data, manually take appart, expose data storage components directly to high powered magnets, heat and or electric current depending on storage type. Likely no environmental harm , likely no personal harm, and data can't even be recovered by professionals with high tech machinery as there are no longer any storage cells intact or readable. Added bonus that it won't look suspicious until closely inspected and is easy to do.
ОтветитьSo informative and hilarious. Hahah...I chuckled as I watched and listened to you. Now I know how to destroy the hard drive myself. Thank you.
Ответитьcheck this mans browser
Ответитьugh.. people are so wasteful, You can do a long format and then write over the drive with 10101010101 (there are progams for this) your data will be gone/replaced with 10101010.. and then you have a drive that can be used for storage of what ever you choose without adding it to e-waste pile. You can do this over night while you sleep.
ОтветитьRage Rooms for hdd's??
ОтветитьStep 1, format the drive. Step 2, drive three or four nails through the drive at equidistant points around the center; 120 or 90 degree increments. Crooks prefer to work with undamaged drives; less work to do. For SSD drives you need to drive nails through all the chips. Again, there is no money in it for crooks if they waste time trying to repair a drive.
ОтветитьThe closing comment wad the best! About Bella
ОтветитьI'm drilliing!
Ответить2 and a half terabytes obliterated
ОтветитьHow to wipe all the data on HDD
Step 1: destroy or smash the platters
Or you could wipe it with magnet
Or they can just format it!!
ОтветитьNow you know who showed Shillery clinton..
