Harry Belafonte was so elegant! He did masses of charitable work and never told a soul. Only at his death was it made public. Added to that, he was an incredible performer! SO was Danny Kaye.

I love seeing this so many years later!

Back in the 70’s I spent a summer in Israel. I’m Catholic, not Jewish but I spent a few weeks on a kibbutz. At that time we were the last Jewish settlement on the Gaza Strip. On Saturday nights, after Shabbat, there was always a party with dancing and singing. This song was always sung.

Now my heart is singing! I am a Christian and live in South Africa. The language of music is universal. Shalom.
