When Trey only runs the ball 9-10 times per game and rotating with Quinshon, it keeps him fresh. It allows him to conserve energy when he is in pass pro and has to block (and he does it really well now), and catching balls coming out of the backfield. Keep that rotation going.

I’ve never observed a QB get better at running or passing (actually develop a skill they don’t have) => but only get incrementally better within their window of maturation.

I’ve never seen a Haskins learn to run like Barrett.

That’s why it’s CRUCIAL for these numb nuts (HC’s) to recruit QB’s like Burrow, Jones and Guiton !!!

PS. If you’re a dual threat QB like Stroud => but you won’t utilize your whole Skill Set => then stay home or go elsewhere => half a skill set is a waste of time!!! I’m ok losing like we did to Georgia but only using your talent in one game doesn’t cut it !!!

Guys like Krenzel and Howard (game managers) can win a Natty => if all other phases of your team are elite…..the opposition doesn’t have an elite QB and the breaks go your way…..

…….and you don’t get outcoached like Ryan Day almost always seems to do……

Thnk you so much for thinking about predictably. For the last few yrs, i could literally call the play pre-snap. Thats been greatly reduced this year. Definitely need more 21 and 22 personnel tho....

Very interesting and refreshing to listen to Coach Chip. It must be a confidence builder for the offensive unit. Hopefully his experience makes the other coaches confident and vice versa.
