How Fast Does Light Travel From Sun To Each Planet

I always thought, from what sources I forget, that light takes 8 minutes to reach earth...

(Edit) I came from a BBC programme with Brian Cox that stated it took 9 minutes. Makes you think that they’re not telling us everything, perhaps?

If the sun was to just go from not being there to suddenly being there would the light from it reach the earth before the heat from it? If at the same time that would mean light is relative to heat and both travel at the same speed.

If the light of Sun reaches here in 8 min. And on Mars in 12 min. Then the distance between Earth and Mars should be equal to 4 "light minutes".. can we prove this fact? It should be easy then.. a light source on Mars and telescope here and a perfect demo of light speed is ready to be demonstrated (which would be a great direct and firm experiment to measure "The Light Speed" :))

As per relativity theory, if we travel at speed of light then time become negligible. So If we travel at light speed for 8.3mins then we will reach sun, so how much time would've passed on earth? Isn't it 8.3mins? Where is the time dilation here?

What's the true color of the Sun? White or yellow?

Remember Space time and planets time are not same Space 1 day = Earth's many many year's , Space time is very slow.

Light itself doesnt know time, so if you could travel at lightspeed your time would stop and you would travel the whole universe in zero seconds.
