Galaxy S20: Frozen, Unresponsive, Black Screen, Won't Restart-- FIXED

Do you know if any of this might possibly help a cracked screen..?
...Maybe one that is flickering, quite obsessively, bright white and dim green colors, luckily only on the bottom half, just under the crack on the curve of the screen...?

I updated her. I let her die and then fully charge.. I can't do the hard reset until I can get everything put into my pc, as I have a lot of important things on here I don't want to lose.. 😩😥
Whiiiich, of course, I first need to put together the money for putting internet into my new home-- This home that, might I add, I put every last cent into completely paying off, (In the beginning of this year), so that I wouldn't have a mortgage that can try to screw my family over as they were..
Sooooo, I can't get everything onto my computer, because it apparently needs an update through the internet to frkn even let me into the damn thing.. 🙄

The screen, everytime I turn it on, flashes so incredibly bright that it's hard to even look at.. Gives me a headache after 2 minutes, especially when working on it in the dark.... First world problems, I knoww, but Ughh..!! 💔

Feeling quite scared to push the screen anywhere and make this worse..
I was given this phone in August, (after my 6 year old phone finally quit on me), through my Dad..
It already had the crack, but worked fine til a couple weeks ago.
Started off slow, only blinking sometimes. Turning the screen off for 30 seconds usually fixed it for at least a few minutes...
But of course, it got worse, and now nothing stops the brutal bright flashes...

Even typing this out is terribly difficult and frustrating... 😖

I really can't afford to get a new phone, and looking at every other "fix" I've come across online..
~ Every next solution says I have to send it in for repairs, and that, OF COURSE, will cost just as much as getting a new phone...??
I just simply can't afford it right now with how crazy life has been these past, heck, couple years even, but especially last few months and with three kids in a new school, trying to put together money for extracurricular activities, let alone money for Christmas right around the corner... siiiiiigh

Writing this out just makes me feel like a big whiney baby. Sorry to be that person. I know it could always be worse. I am lucky to have even this, but damn it... I wouldnt even care that much if it wasnt for the brilliantly vivid flashes of white. The flashes are brighter than my flashlight somehow even!!! Like wtf??
Trying to find the silver lining, somewhere...

I have had a black screen issue four times, the first time it turned back on 30 minutes later after I dropped it but when it turned back on and it had green line glitch at the bottom of the screen after 1.5hr of being on it turned off again. But then after a while it came back on so I backed the phone up and then the screen didn't go black until a week later which was yesterday. It went black again today and hasn't turned back on. I can still use Bixby, call, answer calls etc. I don't know if it is worth fixing the lcd screen because I am worried the black screen is a hardware or motherboard issue? Any advice?
I tried all the steps in your video and sadly it still is not working.

Also I did run diagnostic tests on phone when the screen was on and no issues were found, unsure if that is any help?

i was playing a game and it just switched off and i have tried to force restart by holding the volume down button and power button plugged into my charger and without even hit it few times like mentioned in your video still nothing. I can feel it vibrate (similar when you start your phone) but still black screen dont know whats going on please helpppp

I dropped my s 20 at work about 2 months ago and it had blackscreen. everything else wroked so i used it via screen copy on pc until i unlocked bootloader adn the usb debbugging got revoked.

i tried this 3-4 times, th elast time i tried it with th ephone turned off to not accidentally press stuff and tried one last time to turn it on AND IT TURNED ON!

i did just buy a new phone a few days, but oh well, this is AMAZING!! Thank you!

update: about an hour later is black screened again, sadness.

I tried to restart a hell lot of times and i have to travel alone i was panicking, i massaged and smacked the phone and it suddenly worked, thank you so much...

What about if you can barely see the samsung logo but its discolored and when it disappears the screen stays black?

You're a lifesaver! My daughter had dropped her old phone and broke the screen, which really ticked me off because she took it out of the case. It was time for me to upgrade and take advantage of Verizon's $830 trade in credit for any working phone, but I couldn't get the phone to power on. I even replaced the battery to see if that would fix it (I had one on hand that never got used). Still, no luck.

After watching this video, I tried the massage, tap, and slap methods, and it worked briefly for a few minutes, then crashed. I then laid it face down on my mouse pad, and began smacking it hard on the back of the phone. That worked! I was able to power on the phone, do a factory reset, and now I just have to order a new display for a whopping $35 off Amazon, and I'll be able to trade this in and keep my iPhone 13 as a backup. Thanks for this video!
