Great Job

Love my Thursday boots. Haven't hit the 2 year "drop", but will pay attention as they age. Even so, that's not a bad lifespan if you're wearing they heavily.

How much does it cost to re-cork and re-sole these. If it’s over $100, I don’t see the point.

I moved from Southern California to Northern Japan back in 2013 and discovered chealsea boots a couple of years ago. The winters are cold and wet and due to Japanese custom I'm constantly having to take my shoes on and off. Chealsea boots are the perfect solution. But I've never spent more than about $70 on foot ware in my life. So the last two years I basically went through a pair of cheap chealsea's each season. Finally decided that's not really practical, especially since it's almost impossible to find size 13 shoes over here. All that to say I ordered a pair of Thursday Boots chealsea's in dark brown and some Saphir polish to keep them in good condition. Hoping I get some longterm use out of them.

How would you compare Thursday boots with Beckett Simonon boots?

Are the insoles interchangeable? Can I put in a dr martins insole?

Have you had any problems with the color fading on the Thursday shoe?I bought a pair last month and have a few wears I’ve noticed spots around the shoe where the color would be lighter then the actual shoe itself?

I have a pair of Thursdays and for $199, they are a good value. Are they as good as my Redwings, Helms, or Trumans which cost at least $120 more? No way.

I have two pairs of Thursday boots. Black Presidents & Brown Chukkas. The rubber on the sole of the chukkas on the toe broke & became floppy after 3 months. Luckily, we have an amazing cobbler in town. I had him put leather soles on them, since I wear them as dress boots anyway. They are very comfortable & just keep looking better, but the quality isn't as good as the Presidents. The presidents are my go-to boot & they are amazing. I guess that's the extra $60 you pay. All in all, I love my Thursday boots! 100% recommended!

How are the shoes in particular, after a long day at work over time? Do your feet hurt? I’ve only worn Ecco but recently their quality has gone down. Not being able to put in orthotics makes me nervous.

In theory when somebody has their Thursday boots resoled can't they upgrade the sole and add more cork ect?

Of all the shoes I own Thursday’s are the least comfortable. I have four pair and none of them fit right. I just got a pair of shoes from Beckett Simonon and immediately felt the difference. For not much more than Thursday’s there’s a lot better brands out there that offer better fit and materials.

I have the same boots for about 2.5 years before the cushion (heel) in particular seemed to be much harder. The soles did not look worn out so I removed the insoles and replaced them with a very nice coppertone insert for about $7 a pair. Problem solved. You may want to try it on your boots. Really like your channel!
