Gotta do what makes you happy.
ОтветитьYour philosophy on life is sound advice.👍
Ответить❤
ОтветитьWow, that is a thoughtful truth about life. I think it is so important to love your work and choose the best path for you and your family. Best wishes to you all out there.
ОтветитьI upsized everything for market, had exact feelings you are having. Gave up market, figured out a good number of harvest baskets, I sell to individuals, mostly word of mouth. Great way to sell extras, without stress, cause if it didn't sell, just more for us. My customer total is 20. I worried if I turned something I loved into a business, I would end up hating it.
ОтветитьI can understand you so well ......and your Kids aere so cute
ОтветитьGrow the food for your family but sell your flowers! Your arrangements are beautiful. 🥰❤️🤗
ОтветитьFall and Winter is a time to reflect on the great things that happened during the growing season. I'm always working one season ahead so now is the time to plan and prepare for the next growing year.
ОтветитьI'm so happy for you mrs summer!
ОтветитьI agree hagglers over a dollar have no idea the time, effort and love and more hard work. They should give you extra dollars and a big thank you.
ОтветитьLost mine yesterday 😢
ОтветитьGirl we love fried green tomatoes lol. I don’t eat any tomatoes I don’t grow. I love grits and tomatoes lol.
ОтветитьHave you ever made Tomato Preserves? It’s a delightful with hints of cloves, cinnamon, allspice, and ginger along with little pieces of lemon. Very hard to find!
ОтветитьBe inspired, and be inspirational.. learn and teach. It’s the way I’ve gotten here through life. I’ve considered that when work ceases to be fun. Find something different to do! Life is short in the grand scheme of universal time. Don’t be unhappy. Don’t be miserable. Do what you love, and love what you do. Find the love. Embrace the joy….. and be inspired. Be inspirational. All will benefit, as we’ve come here and enjoy your content. You have nurtured skills in a age old craft that is, can, and will sustain your family and community. Just do what is manageable in this time. You are doing well 🤜🤛☺️
ОтветитьVery wise words.
ОтветитьWind mill then do inside grow
ОтветитьUr not a quite u still grow for ur family
ОтветитьDo what best for u and ur family

Ответитьyou dont have to apologize for anything your video,s say it all keep up the great work !! ROCK ON !!!!
ОтветитьA virtuous woman indeed, ✌ ❤ 😊 🙏!
ОтветитьYou have beautiful family!
✌💀👍❤🙏❤🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
My dad farmed 2 acres of our friends’ property for over 25-years for FUN, our consumption (freezing, juicing, canning), and GAVE AWAY ALL the extra vegetables. He grew up on a farm.
ОтветитьI can totally relate to this. Do yourself a favor, and do it for you.
ОтветитьI hear ya girl winter sucks.
ОтветитьSo true Kim. That "anticipation of Joy" is the pursuit of happiness. Sales can be the destroyer of the joy anticipated. Here's something I anticipate joy in, seeing the cold day when you boiling the water to scrape one of the hogs. There must be a shelf life on one of them and the weather is right for crackling.
ОтветитьPretty much how we feel here too. We dont like selling our things it just feels strange. although making a living by just existing in our lives wins. I look at it like- maybe some of these people who buy our food may accidentally rebuild their microbiomes and become healthy and snap out of the matrix. IN the end, my goal is that every minute possible I can give to my family, particularly our kids.
Ответитьloll i grew so much... and im an hoarder too... i want all for me... i should sell flowers..theyre all in my house or i give them away.
ОтветитьYes queen! 👑 More power to you 🌻✨💛
ОтветитьThere are many business models that can suit. Many others have said the magic is the flowers, and I do agree with that. Maybe have open days or hours, and let people pick. Charge by the pound. Done. I would love that. I would love to arrange my own for any number of small gatherings that I need with flowers or just to deliver to friends on a whim. There is another farmer I follow who is selling tree sampling and making the most profit on just those - sticks with a root. He only sells bulk, online, and only a few times a year. You get to decide what does suit. I know you will evolve to what is the next best right thing for you.
ОтветитьI'll take all the green ones! Fried Green tomatoes are the best!
ОтветитьI would give a lot of something to have a garden tomato right now! Rest and regeneration are important so you can be pumped about organizing seeds, looking at seed/plant catalogs, and planning for next year. Also, doing some of those discarded inside projects. You are definitely not less because you don’t want to peddle your veggies! I quit a job that I pined for and then got, and it made me miserable. I had to let go of the idea that I should do it, my life is sooooooo much better not doing it. ✌️ ❤ 🍅 🌱
ОтветитьNot a dingy winter girl 😂😂😂 that's right you're a bright ray of summer sunshine!
ОтветитьI wouldn’t even call that quitting. You’re stopping doing something that you don’t enjoy.
Why would anyone continue doing something that they don’t enjoy? You see people in the corporate world doing that all the time because they’re making great money. However, when you talk to them, they are the most unhappy people on the planet. They’re doing exactly what you’re talking about. Working towards the next logical step. In some crazy way, they think if they can just get to the next logical step, they’ll be happy. But they never are.
If you give something a try, and you find out it’s not what you’d hoped or expected it to be, the smart thing to do is pivot towards something you know you love doing.
I think you’re doing the right thing! I’m proud of you for being able to make such a difficult decision, and move towards something that works better for you!
If you find yourself with more produce than your family /friends need, you could donate the surplus to a food pantry .
ОтветитьYou can pickle all the green tomatoes and they’re delicious, you can also make relish out of the bigger tomatoes ❤try it I hope you like it. 😉🤤
ОтветитьYour a cute kid you give us old people hope:)
ОтветитьNice driving Moe🐶🚙😂🤣

Ответить"We have two lives, and the second begins when we realize we only have one."
ОтветитьGod bless the farmer's wife
ОтветитьWhen one can't win no matter what, it's just better to quit.
ОтветитьShouldn’t you have honey on honey trail farm?
ОтветитьIve been following you for a while now and i believe i fell in love with you today when you said" in my heart of hearts im a hoarder" simply wonderful😊
ОтветитьThe last harvest of summer labors👍
ОтветитьIt’s funny. Despite all the ways to gather our harvest. I too, use my shirt. It just works so well.
Ответить😍You have a beautiful and peaceful life
ОтветитьSweetest video ever!
ОтветитьSo there goes my favorite channel but I’ve had some of the same issues, the farmers market where I’m not comfortable trying to be a salesman. I’ve decided to eat what grows that particular month, give away to my neighbors and complete the hermit lifestyle. Thanks,I’ve learned a great deal from this channel and it’s such a nice place to visit. Dern it.
