All the signs were there to indicate that Tony was sacked in the dinner. From the talk of saying, you never hear it coming to it all turns to black when he was talking with Bobby in the boat on the lake. But the fact that many people are overlooking is that Tony in an early episode recounted that his father was walked in front of him while they were out to eat with the family. This brings the series full circle. The sins of the father will be revisited on the son.

Great recap - but there's one thing I with which I would take issue. Twice you present Janice Soprano as a victim: first of abuse at the hands of Richie Aprile and second of Ralph Cifaretto. Janice is not a victim of anything. Richie treats her relatively well until she berates him over his denial of his son's homosexuality - when he hits her she murders him. Ralph never seems to mistreat her, and in fact ends his relationship with Rosalie Aprile to live with Janice...but by then her ambition and selfishness causes her to coldly reject Ralph as he sets foot in his new home, and then finagle her way into marrying the sought after widow, Bobby Baccalieri... from whom she keeps her son in Canada, her promiscuous past, and the murder of her previous fiancee, a secret. Also: a solo revenge run alone is redundant, and Carlo Gervaisi killed Fat Dom, not Sil and Phil Leotardo becomes acting-boss when Johnny Sac dies, but becomes permanent boss after he kills Doc Santoro.

Every time I re-watch The Sopranos it pisses me off even more of how terrible Saints Of Newark was. I wasnt happy with the movie in the first place but then when I watch Sopranos again it makes it worse. Chase really fucked up and basically trashed Italians as racist idiots who beat their wives. Chase completely destroyed the Sopranos with that horrible movie.
