ОтветитьFor turbo waste gate shafts and linkages, you need "mouse milk" penetrating oil. No joke, look it up. High temp penetrating lubricant. I used to use it on aviation turbo waste gates. LOL, folks would look at me weird when I tell them about mouse milk. Like mentioning a left hand drill bit. What? no such thing. Once asked, how do you milk a mouse? I don't know I just bought the stuff that was specified.

ОтветитьI have 13 acura TL. I went through 3 reman alternator, and kept getting same issue. Only way to repair it was to buy OEM $550 alternator. All lights went away. Same charging issue kept jng my SHAWD module. If voltage drops below 10v.

ОтветитьHondas are usually pretty decent vehicles, but for myself, even with Toyota, I don’t want anything to do with EV’s , Hybrids, or turbo charged. Simplicity is King in my book, but then I’m just an old school nerd. 😅👍👍🇺🇸

ОтветитьHey Ivan, what you adjusted is actually the boost control actuator since that is a VGT. The wastegate actuator is on the driver side under the turbo (really hard to see). When i was working for a Acura dealership weve seen a couple of these wastegates jamming.

ОтветитьHad a CRV two weeks ago not charging and light on, service writer ordered a Bosch alternator saying cheaper than Denso to save customer money. First one charged fine no light but making noise like probably dropped before boxing as box looked ok but back off and could feel tightening up. So they get another one and charging ok but now light is back so back off again for number 3 and now all is normal. Customer saved money with Bosch now reman in Mexico.

ОтветитьHey i wna discuss an issue for my brand new honda civic sports 10,000km only. As i move gear frm PtoD it shuts off some times. Its not happening every time I encountered issue 4 time in 3-4months. Mostly happened in morning during first start. Dealership didn't find anything,no active codes even. What are the thoughts?? Its a new car
ОтветитьMy '97 Prelude (VTEC, 5sp Manual, Blue) is still using the original battery terminals, hasn't rotted off. Looked after it well i guess, 178,000 Kilometres (110k miles) don't drive it much now

ОтветитьI don’t want to jinx myself, original owner of a 2011 SH-AWD RDX with about 140,000 miles. So far, other than normal maintenance I’ve had to replace the rear shocks because they started to leak and the AC clutch (terrible job with no space to work without discharging system, ugh). Retired now so drive less than 5,000 a year so hoping many more miles left. A few drips on the garage floor these days, annoying but not currently worth attempting to repair. Peppy little unit for sure.

ОтветитьMaybe the solenoid bleeds off boost signal pressure to the wastegate? On the GNAT, the wastegate had a base setting of 14psi, and there was an adjustable rod like this Acura, but T-ed into the boost signal line was a solenoid controlled by the ECM and chip programming. The ECM could pwm the solenoid and bleed off signal line boost thereby reducing the signal the wastegate would see, allowing the boost to be higher.
ОтветитьYou gave the linkage adjustment a full turn.. All you have to do is back it off a 1/4 turn (or even less) and it would open the waste gate a bit sooner and not let it over boost. You're adjusting the strength of the spring vs the strength of the actuator... So it's a bit of a fine adjustment to get it just right. A small little 1/8th turn can be the difference from tripping a code or not.. (unless it is being controlled in a different way than what I'm thinking).
